Nice size works well for heat. I used it on my hand where I had surgery and also on my shoulder. The heat stays in the product for a good 15 -20 minutes before it starts to cool down. Not sure how well it'll work for cooling body parts. I believe the material is a kind of clay base. Very flexible to form around your body parts that needs heat or cooling.
