Question 1

Is it removing hemosiderin staining?

Accepted Answer

Yes, AMERIGEL Care Lotion is recommended for minimizing the appearance of hemosiderin staining.

The fast-absorbing formulation bonds with the accumulated iron particles below the skin's surface that cause the discoloration then breaks down these trapped iron deposits to allow the body to naturally reabsorb the smaller iron particles. This process continues with every application of AMERIGEL Care Lotion and until the deposits have been fully dissolved.

The length of time required for the hemosiderin stains to dissipate can vary based on location, the amount of accumulated iron deposits, and blood flow. For best results, it is recommended to apply AMERIGEL Care Lotion to the affected area, 2-3 times a day.

Question 2

Did the lotion you ordered have an expiry date on the box or the product? I ordered 3 and all they had was a sticker with the Lot#.

Accepted Answer

The AMERIGEL® Care Lotion is not manufactured with an expiration date because it's considered to be more of a cosmetic product.

Question 3

Amerigel: Do you have studies that show your main ingredient, oakin "bonds with the accumulated Iron molecules"?

Accepted Answer

Hello, Douglass. It is actually the zinc in the formula that bonds with and helps the body break down the iron deposits. We apologize for any confusion.

Question 4

Should there have been a seal on top?
