7 Ruby Road Wall Mounted Cat Scratcher, Replaceable Sisal Scratching Post

Cat-approved, three times over! We just bought a home and the wall has a "feature" of wood our three cats thought was a scratching post. It's an idea spot for one so until I replace the feature we tried a soft scratcher to wrap around the corner - it lasted 2 weeks before they shredded it to tatters. This Ruby Road scratcher was my pick when I realized this was their new "primary" scratch spot. I chose it from the listings because it looked solid and well-built for a high traffic scratcher and I was not disappointed! Is it solid and durable? YES! Looking at the images here on the listing you'll see the scratching surface and then two caps at the top & bottom. The length between them that backs the scratching surface consists of 2 solid blocks of wood cut to nest together and then be secured with the included hardware - all of which sits flush or is countersunk along with threaded receivers for added durability. Whoever designed this put some thought into it! Once put together, the scratching surface velcros in place around the scratcher, though that's just to hold it for mounting. Once the whole scratcher is secured the scratching mat is held firm between the scratcher and the wall itself. Once the pad gets scratched through it should be a quick replacement process although that might be a good way down the road with how it has been holding up under heavy daily use. The scratcher is definitely a hit and two of our boys love climbing up to give head-boops if you're coming down the hallway, the third would but he's a nearly blind one-eyed kitty I found on an Amazon route. I plan to order one more for him because this scratcher also comes with some rubber feet you can stick on to turn this into a floor scratcher!

This is exactly what I was looking for. My cats walk in the living room and they just want to scratch something, of course that was my couch! Can't have that! I've bought scratching post after scratching post and multiple kitty condos and they will use them sporadically but they don't stick to scratching just that. I hung this particular scratching post on the doorway entering the living room so they have to walk right by it. I sprayed it with some catnip spray and what do you know, they've been loving it! I put it about a foot up from the ground because they like to stand up on their back legs when they scratch. This is exactly what I needed. It's also a bonus that you can easily take it off the wall and change the scratch pad when it gets to beat up, very smart design

This is extremely well made - my cats LOVE it. It looks great, wears well and so...worth the $ and I hate spending money unless the quality makes it worth the cost. This is the quality worth the cost.

This thing is built well and my cat that has started scratching the furniture is no longer doing that. I hate waste so I love that I can replace the scratch pad once it’s worn. I’m a big fan!!

My two kitties, Butch & Sundance, are using this scratcher constantly. Our last wall mounted scratcher was no longer available so we tried this one. The boys weigh about 18 lbs each & so they've got some muscle behind their scratching. Had this about a month & it's holding up better than expected. Was able to get a solid mounting as our sunroom is a converted patio with a couple of brick columns. No way this scratcher is coming down. Just in case the sisal wasn't strong I also purchased a replacement mat. Note: By keeping their claws trimmed on a regular basis, they never have long claws that dig deeply into the sisal--just a thought.

We got this when our little stray first started digging into our new leather couch. Pro Tip: She ignored it till we sprayed it with one of those catnip spray things. Afterwards, she scratched it within moments - and hasn't stopped. YMMV depending on the cat/their strength, but this has held up well for us, and looks minimalist/attractive compared to the typical cat trees. We'll certainly get again!

7 Ruby Rd cat scratcher Price $49.99. This is a quality cat scratcher, very easy to assemble, and my cat couldn't wait for it to be attached to the wall as you can see in the posted photo. Once attached to the wall, it will be very sturdy and safe. I will be mounting this approximately 10" off the floor so that my cat can get a good stretch and perhaps a climb. I like that a separate mat can be purchased to replace the original mat when it wears out. I would have given this cat scratcher a resounding 5* however it is grossly overpriced. Smart Cat came out with their wall mounted cat scratcher "Bootsie" - The "mother" floor scratcher by Smart Cat was a BEST seller. Bootsie is a wall mount, comparable to 7 Ruby Rd, and is selling for $19.99, which I was able to snag it for $9.99 on Black Friday. Although a considerable price difference, I kept both scratchers because my cat loves them both. I would NOT purchase the 7 Ruby again until the price drops. If price isn't a issue, you will be very satisfied purchasing the 7 Ruby Rd. It in a handsome, upscale cat scratcher that will not disappoint nor detract, even from a well furnished home.

Our cat goes crazy on this thing multiple times per day since we got it 4 months ago, and it’s still showing no signs of wear. I’ve been meaning to leave a review every time I see him trying to tear the thing off the wall. I think he prefers it to the old standalone one because it would wobble about and this one takes up such less space, so winning all round.

This is excellent. I am beyond thrilled with my purchase! It is very heavy duty but also just stunning. I love that this company sells replacement scratch pads should I need it. Great customer service and solid, quality materials. 5 stars. If you're on the fence, just buy it.

Hi quality item easy to install

I thought my cat loves cardboard scratchers than sisals, however I was totally wrong! I installed it near to the main door and whenever I'm home she uses it so happily. I'm very happy about the product. Would buy again for other spots.
