The conclusion to the groundbreaking Hyperion Cantos, from the Hugo and World Fantasy Award-winning author of The Terror, which is now a chilling TV show. The time of reckoning has arrived. As a final genocidal Crusade threatens to enslave humanity forever, a new messiah has come of age. She is Aenea and she has undergone a strange apprenticeship to those known as the Others. Now her protector, Raul Endymion, one-time shepherd and convicted murderer, must help her deliver her startling message to her growing army of disciples. But first they must embark on a final spectacular mission to discover the underlying meaning of the universe itself. They have been followed on their journey by the mysterious Shrike - monster, angel, killing machine - who is about to reveal the long-held secret of its origin and purpose. And on the planet of Hyperion, where the story first began, the final revelation will be delivered - an apocalyptic message that unlocks the secrets of existence and the fate of humankind in the galaxy. Review: Extraordinary - This is a masterpiece of science fiction. All the four books of Hyperion Canton must be read by anyone who craves for science fiction. Review: Long and winding, but a read worthy for a completist - The last of the books.in Hyperion Cantos. It probably offers the most answers to all the mysteries. But there is too much Christian stuff, and the chosen narrator is naive and annoying.

Engaging
Great job at keeping people coming back for more the book won't make sense unless you read the past 3 in the series. A little vague in the motives but the characters are intersting enough to keep you interested.

Epic Journey
The whole Hyperion series covers an imense time and distance. It brilliantly ties everything together for every part to have a purpose, to contribute, to a complete tale with a strong and complete finale. So good you will finish it, put it down, and at least consider immediately starting Book 1 again.

I would award 100 stars 🌟 if possible
I don’t read a lot of science fiction, and stick to the masters (Sagan, Clarke) when I do. Dan Simmons is a master writer. I picked up the first book in the series two weeks ago and just finished Book 4. The 4 books were brilliant.
