The seller does not claim the faucet is bpa free. how do we know if it's bpa free?

Amazon sells a twin pack of BPA free spigots for $9.49 to clear all doubts

Would it support a 5 gallon glass bottle?

Yes - it will. It is very sound and strong.

is the inside glazed as well? how easy is it to clean?

The inside & outside feel the same, only the very top doesn't feel glazed, and it's very easy to clean. I recommend it.
