Had tried several other Wi-Fi switches to control house LED lighting outside (switch in garage). After a few months they would fail. This is a little more expensive but MUCH better built and heavy duty. Easy to setup and worked flawlessly ever since. Highly recommend.

Hi wattage is my best attraction on this product. I'm controling my hot water cylinder power supply (230v ,3500w) in night time in cheaper rates. Also I set correct time to turn on and turn by itself so I don't have to worry. It monitors power consumption which is good to know whether it's overloaded or not. And default mode going back to contact position which is useful to run hot water cylinder in optimum temperature when Wifi cuts off sometimes. Highly recommended.

Purchased the SONOFF POWR3's to use for 2 water heater timers. I was actually able to determine that you only need to switch the first element of the water heater and not both. Once it was wired I flipped the breaker on and started to see the power and wireless light come alive. That's where some issues began, to connect the device to my wifi I used their app, which for some reason had a very difficult time connecting to it. Multiple resets were required, breaker switched on and off multiple times. I even tried the setup with both an android and an apple device. I don't recall what finally worked but after around 2-3 hours messing with it the POWR3 finally connected. After that was over I proceeded to setup the schedule for turning my water heater on and off. Tested the relay triggering and everything seemed to work as expected. After a couple of months I noticed that one device was not accessible anymore, and showers started to get cold. Tried flipping the breaker a few times, still nothing. I determined that the one device had failed and just hard wired the water heater back the way it was. NOTE: Let me be clear, I read some of the posts about failures. I figured that they might have been due to a faulty installation, lightning, or power surge. I did not believe that the product was at fault necessarily. BUT... A couple months go by and the same exact thing happened to the other one...weird. That one fortunately failed closed, so the water heater was still being powered. Tried some factory resets, reboots, etc...but never could get it back up and running. Great idea, but I am guessing that the relays being used must be inferior for the US market. I really hope they figure it out because this is exactly what I was looking for. Maybe I got an older version or something that had some bad relays... I am willing to work with the vendor...IF YOU ARE READING THIS, please lets get this figured out.

Lo compre por error, lo utilice en usa seccion de la cada con un freezer y un bombillo; cuando la luz se va y regrese se siente al dejar parar la energia electrica lo se porque los bombillos parpadean, actualmente lo tengo desconectado

As with most Chinese products, open the thing up and tighten all of the screws that hold these high current cables to their connections. Otherwise, they will generate heat at these poor connections and melt the wires. This will prevent almost all failures. Update 6/20/2024: The solder connections failed on the power relay. I ordered a new unit, tightened all of the power wire screws and resoldered/beefed up all traces around the power relay. My fingers are crossed.

It worked for les than 2 months. worked very fine, until it didn't. device appered offline, went to check, and found it burnt, even with sings of fire. I feel lucky that it didn't actuially started a fire at my home. Had the device connected to a heatpump, rated way less than the device rating (14.6A heat pump, 25 AMP POWR3 Smart WiFi Wireless Light Switch), but it couldn't handle it somehow. Don't know what to do, can't find how to contact the seller.

Funcionó muy bien para un calentador de agua 220V/3KW. Solo le hablé a un eléctrico para que me instalara una pastilla y una toma de corriente, y el Sonoff se conecta después de la pastilla y antes del calentador. Lo programamos con Alexa para que se prenda unas horas al día, y lo puedo prender/apagar con comando de voz. De esta manera ya no necesito gas natural para tener agua caliente. Solo verificar si tienen buena señal wifi donde se va a instalar (cochera, patio trasero, etc).

Necesitaba domotizar la bomba del filtro de una piscina. Al revisar la instalación, me encontré que no tenía ni reloj, ni contactor, con lo que la única opción era un relé wifi, pero al no tener contactor me veía obligado a instalarlo en la misma línea que alimenta la bomba. Estas bombas suelen tener un consumo elevado y con un relé estandar de 10/16 amperios se me antojaba corto. Encontré este que soporta hasta 25 amperios, más que de sobra para la bomba en la que lo quería instalar. Extraje de la salida del magneto térmico el neutro y la fase y los metí en las entradas correspondientes del sonoff y la salida directamente a los cables de la bomba. Realicé el emparejamiento del relé con la app de Itead y lo añadí a mi instalación de Home Assistant. Luego no es más que configurar las horas de depurado en Home Assistant et voilà, bomba domitizada y funcionando sin ningún tipo de problema. Si estás en una situación parecida a la que comento, no lo dudes. Es la mejor compra que puedes hacer.
