Amazing! Well worth the money.
I got this espresso machine for my sister and we both love it! if you are looking For the short and sweet, here it is: This is a great value: A high quality, everyday, at home espresso machine for a decent price. Here are some key points that we love about it if you want the details: When I bought it, I was worried it was going to be massive and take up and lot of counter space. Well it isn’t and it doesn’t. It’s a good size(I took a picture with my hand on it to give you a good visual. And I am an average size female) it is very sleek and will look very nice with whatever your kitchen/office/classroom decor or theme is. My sister is taking it to her classroom. Second of all, we were confused when we first tried to use it because we forgot to remove a little red piece on the bottom of the water tank. We called the customer service number from the QR code link and they returned our call within 5 minutes. We were not expecting that at all. They quickly resolved our problem and were extremely nice, patient and helpful. So if you have any questions definitely utilize their help line. It came with lots of functional extra items. The two “high quality porcelain cups” were surprisingly just that. Very cute and classy. I was planning to buy a separate set of espresso cups but if two is enough for you then you don’t even need to buy cups separately. Another cool thing about the cups, is that there is a heating tray on top of the machine that you can use to warm up your cups before you dispense, for a piping hot cup of espresso. It comes with a grinder that works perfectly so you can just buy whole beans and don’t have to worry about grinding them somewhere. The machine also comes with a scoop for the ground espresso. The rest of the functions on this machine are problem free so far. The drip tray is also easy and quick to clean. So if you have stuck with me so far, I can tell you this is a great product. Like anything, you get what you pay for, so while it is a little spendy, I feel like it’s an investment and you will get your money back if you(or friends/family) enjoy espresso, lattes or cappuccinos.

OTR TRUCKERS Morning Mocha Solution!
I bought this espresso machine for my 2015 Peterbilt 579 truck that has an APU (Auxiliary Power Unit.) I absolutely love it! I also bought a milk frothing thermometer to go with it. I’ve been enjoying my morning mocha’s over the road all week long! And the steamer is something to brag about because it’s consistent and doesn’t putter out like the steamers on older espresso machines. The stemer is powerful enough to clean the milk frothing pitcher, the thermometer (bought separately) and the little ceramic cups, and so on. It is quick as well! I will probably buy a second machine for my home real soon. It makes a perfect mocha real quickly, and other features that I love about this machine which shows me that they’ve really put a lot of thought into the design would be like the single or double shot espresso baskets that only go into the holder one way and they’ve got a little nipple on the baskets that when you completely seat them into the basket holder and then turn the basket 180 degrees it locks the basket into place before you ever put it into the espresso machine. And the handle also has a built in espresso basket holder that flips up to hold the basket when you tap the spent espresso grounds out, but you don’t even really need that if you lock the basket in place as I described above! And this machine is packed full of useful advice on stickers they’ve placed on various areas of the machine and the owner’s manual. The water capacity in the built in removable tank is exceptional. And the durability of this machine is great too, because this week I forgot to slide it back into the little cubby hole that I made for it and I do have a nonskid mat underneath it. My machine already fell once inside the truck off the small counter space I have on board and it still works without any issues. It’s very straight forward in it’s design and doesn’t need led touch interface. I am super happy with this purchase because it heats up in seconds and within 10 minutes after I’ve made my morning road mocha and done the cleaning up and putting stuff away! I am ready to start my morning off right! It’s actually faster than my Breville YouBrew coffeemaker! It’s nice to finally have a mocha since most truck stops do not have a barista! And if they do they are expensive. This espresso works espresso machine will pay for itself in no time at all!

Great deal at this price
Pros: - all included items are useful and good quality [impressed by the portafilter] except the cheap plastic tamper, but even that does its job - I can reliably get a decent long-lasting microfoam whipped up, though the steam wand is much tinier and more finicky than industrial machines I've used [as a barista] - well-manufactured product and easy to use, refill, clean, etc - reasonable price for the setup and the quality, definitely worth the money for me as I save up for a more expensive machine Cons: - at this price point, the shots are a bit wonky, which is reasonable but worth noting for those waffling between this and a more expensive unit; the pressure is too low and they pull a bit fast even at the finest possible grind + fullest pack the machine can handle. - it is a very jerky machine when warming up and sometimes will claim it's in a ready state but stutter while in use, which has ruined a couple of sets of shots for me. not a huge deal tho, it doesn't happen often - as mentioned above, steam wand is inferior to an industrial bar; the wand is short, and while it puts out a decent whirl of steam [can get a good spiral going], I often find myself wishing I could position it deeper into the milk pitcher so I could get more foam from less milk. I like drinks on the very dry end, though, so if all you care about is having a little microfoam topper then it might not bother you at all. - no wire/plastic-bristled brush is included for cleaning the espresso head and portafilter, though they DID include spare rubber gaskets. Things I can't really get mad about but wanna gripe about anyway mostly come down to having had to buy a few things to make the setup complete for me: - I bought a small mixing pitcher for shots because many of my cups can't fit into the compact area under the espresso head. I can't really fault them for that because they included nice little solo macchiato cups, but if you want to cleanly slip the shots into a larger cup and keep the crema on top for aesthetic reasons, I'd add one to your order. - While I have rags around the house, I ended up buying some bar rags specifically to use on the steam wand and espresso head. I wish they'd included cleaning tools in general with this all-in-one kit. - Espresso knockbox. There are plenty out there on Amazon but getting the puck of espresso out w/o a knockbox is a pita.

Geat customer service
An outstanding espresso/cappuccino maker! First, the Modern Millennial customer service is outstanding. You can talk about great product, affordable price and etc. but if the customer service is bad all the other stuff means nothing in my opinion. I had a very minor issue (not with the machine) and they were able to resolve it in a very short period of time. It is great feeling when you pair up MM with the extra ordinary Amazon service. This is a perfect machine for making espresso, cafe lattes, cappuccinos and café mocha. Pro • Front view water tank. If low in water just pour some more without removing the tank • Machine heats up really quickly and ready for multiple espresso shots • Excellent espresso crema and froth • The steam setting and wand froths and heats the milk in a very short period of time. • The inclusion of different sized portafilters and Milk Frothing Pitcher (though a little too small) • Easy to use and cleanup steps Minor Disadvantage • The distance between the head and the tray is short and you really cannot put a reasonable sized mug under it so you must use a cup no longer than 3 inches high. This is not a complaint just observation. Recommendation for users • Get a metal tamper. The plastic one that come with the machine works OK but metal will work better. • Practice, practice and practice on the milk froth. Remember this is an art in its own right so you want to enjoy the capuccino or café late just practice till you get it right. It will make a BARISTA out of you. There are a lot of helpful YouTube videos out there on how to successfully froth the milk. I’m very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend it. Thank you, MM, for great customer service. You guys really do care about your customers.

Worth the money! Best espresso machine!
When covid happened I stop going to my favourite coffee shops but really love and enjoyed my coffee and thought now was the time to invest in a good espresso machine. The price was just right and definitely worth it, I was spending on average $50- $70 dollars a week at coffee shops and now I’m saving so much money. It’s just super convenient to not have to drive anywhere or wait in line for my coffee, also just safe as well with so many baristas being so young and care free I just rather play it safe. I’ve had the espresso machine for 4 months now with no complaints, I did make a mistake and put my portalable filter in the dishwasher and they sent me a new one for free 😅☺️☺️☺️ Thanks again guys! Also I get so many compliments from family and friends when they stop by, they call my place a hotel. Haha. But conveniently everyone wants coffee when they come over to my house. I should also say the ladies love it fellas, it’s super easy and fast as well. If you’re reading this and still debating, I’m telling you to get it because it will save you time, money and put you and your family at less risk. We’re going into a second wave and most likely another lockdown, so you should probably be smart and order one now. I also wrote it off as a business expense sense I work from home and for myself 😉

Espresso product is inferior.
I purchased in May of ‘18 and used for approximately 5 weeks before leaving AZ and returning to the East Coast for 4 months. My initial impression was fairly good. This machine is easy to operate and clean and has a good steamer. When I returned in October and used this espresso machine again, I thought the espresso tasted watery. I tried several different brands of coffee and always had the same result. The grounds left behind in the portafilter were very watery. I struggled along, no longer enjoying my morning latte, until late January when I sent a message to Espresso Works. Customer Service felt my porta filter was clogged in some manner and sent me a new one. The new portafilter did not improve the coffee. I wrote two more times expressing my displeasure. At this point, the manufacturer ignored me. I immediately contacted Amazon Customer Service. They provided a phone number for Espresso Works. The company agreed to send a new espresso machine. I asked what would happen if it worked the same way, and they stated they would issue a refund. The machine is under warranty for one full year. I asked if they would like me to return the first machine I received but have not received an answer on that. I have now had the new machine for approximately two weeks. There is no improvement in the coffee. The espresso product is very watery. I feel Espresso Works Customer Service has been very fair, but I am still dissatisfied with this product. I think the product needs a bit of tweaking. It doesn’t produce true Espresso. When I purchased mine, it was an “Amazon’s Choice” item. This label is one of the things that convinced me to buy it. I don’t believe it has that designation now which leads me to believe other people have had similar complaints. I now have two Espresdo Works machines that make inferior espresso. I am not happy.

Great product, better seller
Having worked in a coffee shop I was familiar with espresso and milk steaming machines. While this product is not intended for commercial use, it is perfect for the home. The machine itself has an amazingly small footprint, and puts out adequate pressure for brewing single/double espresso shots and for properly steaming milk. The inclusion of different sized "inserts" which allow switching depth of the coffee filter attachment is a novel idea and well executed. Bought this item as a gift for my wife who loves it, but I use it myself frequently as well. Keep it clean and it should serve you for an extended period of time. For the price, I don't believe this item can be beat. As for the seller: when the unit was originally delivered the steam wand wasn't performing well. After following the typical trouble-shooting tips and conferring with the seller, we found the unit was simply unable to produce enough pressure to steam or properly brew. Within a week the seller had replaced the unit, and I'm happy to report it works perfectly. No matter the production value there is always a possibility of a defect here or there. The seller standing by the product and immediately replacing it to our satisfaction really sealed the deal for us. I highly recommend both this product and the seller from whom we purchased it.

You get what you pay for, primarily plastic.
Let me start by saying this is a fine espresso machine. Espresso machines are generally really expensive so what you get is not outrageous. However, based on the description I thought it would be a lot nicer. Almost the whole thing is made of plastic which is annoying bc I specifically chose this one because the listed material was stainless steel. I'm most disappointed in the steamer wand and the tamper. I was hoping for a steel steaming wand as feeling the wand has always been the most accurate temp checker for me (I've been a barista for years). That is completley on me because if I had looked at the pictures better I would have seen it. The tamper however is a complete joke. It is made of the flimsiest plastic, I could easily bend it in half and I'm not strong. I'm probably going to look into buying a decent tamper. Another annoyance is the frother mug. Another main reason I bought this was because it included the frothing cup but it is tiny! It'll be perfect for macchiatos but if you want to make a large latte or cappacino you will have to steam milk twice or spill it everywhere. I haven't used the grinder yet, it seems like a generic decent one. All in all the product is fine I just wish it wasn't advertised as such a professional style espresso maker because it is certainly not.
