Badlands Hydration Reservoir with Insulated Drinking Tube

This one liter rectangular hydration bladder is my new "go to" brand! Although with the durability it has , I might not need another, ever ! I have used this on trail runs and hiking up to 4 hours in length and have never had an issue with leaking from any part of the bladder or tubing. The product is so durable. From the firmly attached top bladder sealer to the "plug and play" tube I have not had any issues during trail runs and hikes. I use this in my Ultimate Direction ladies hydration pack and it clips in perfectly. It cleans up nicely and I have not noticed any aftertaste (even with using my powdered and gel supplements to the water). One of my favorite things is that I don't have to attach the tubing until after filling the bladder. And there has never been any loss of fluid in the process! It is so easy to click it on or off! The bladder itself is thick and the bite valve is easy to use with a strong flow of fluid without much effort. Great Product!

I got this to go in a Knight and Hale RnG 200 turkey vest and it fits perfectly. The 1L isn’t a lot of water so it isn’t heavy or bulky and since it doesn’t have the screw type opening it’s much more comfortable sitting up against a tree. For short hunts the amount is enough and this vest won’t hold much more than a 1.5L bladder anyway. I could always carry a sawyer squeeze and another bag if I really had to. Easy to fill and clean with top zipper opening. Seems very well made but I haven’t used it long enough to judge longevity. Definitely better quality than the cheap one I was using and water flows much better as well.

I’ve had platypus and camelback packs but neither were as good as this one. The camelbacks were difficult (aka impossible) to thoroughly clean. I liked platypus, but they were stiff and one ended up springing a leak. That was after several years of use, though, so no real complaints. But for the price, nothing beats this badlands bladder. It’s very sturdy....,my BF accidentally hooked the hose where it sticks out of the top of my backpack and ended up dragging the whole thing out of the truck. Flipped the bladder upside down inside the pack with the entire weight of the pack being held by the hose. No damage or leaking from the the bladder or plug and play port. Super easy to clean and dry. LOVE the foldover wide open seal for filling and for cleaning. After washing I simply stick an empty soda bottle in the open end and hang it upside down. Dry as a bone by morning. Nice to be able to remove the hose for cleaning, too. The bite valve is easy to use and does not leak, even in the “on” position. I haven’t even found the need to turn it “off”. Like the attached cap to cover the bite valve when in dusting/muddy conditions. I bought the 3L size for those longer treks, but often only fill it 1/3 or 1/2 full for day trips. Very versatile.
