⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ solid 5 star
Perfect addition to my wood stove! It starts spinning automatically as soon as the stove heats up and moves a surprising amount of warm air across the room. It is completely silent, requires zero electricity, and helps heat the house much faster.

Best money I’ve spent on garage heat in years – this little fan is a game-changer!
I wasn’t expecting much for the price, but this VODA heat-powered stove fan works exactly as advertised and then some. I have it sitting on top of my Mr. Heater Big Buddy propane heater in the garage, and the difference is night-and-day. As soon as the heater warms up, the fan spins up silently and starts pushing that hot air out into the room instead of letting it just rise straight to the ceiling. Before the fan, I had to run the heater on medium-high to feel comfortable out there. Now I keep it on low the whole time and the garage stays warmer longer. I’m easily burning 30-40% less propane per session, so this fan will pay for itself before the end of winter. Build quality is solid, all metal, no cheap plastic parts, and it starts spinning at a very low temperature. No noise, no electricity, no batteries—just pure efficiency. If you use any kind of wood stove, gas heater, or propane heater and want to get way more heat out of it while saving fuel, buy this fan. 100% worth it. Already planning to order a second one for the wood stove in the house. Highly recommend! Check out You Tube video's on how to use it will Mr. Buddy or other propane heaters as well as wood stoves and heat sources.

LOVE this but doesn't really move much air
So I love the fan but there is just a little airflow even when it goes full speed. Might have better air movement with a free standing stove, my is an insert. What I love is what information it gives me about the temperature. Someone stated that it goes the same speed always but that is untrue. When I first start the fire, it starts moving when the stove just starts getting warm. Depending on how cold the stove is this can be quick or take a awhile. When the fan just starts going I know I can close the stove and doesn't need the extra oxygen. I keep it with the handle up. Also when the fan then starts slowing to a crawl, I know if I don't stoke the fire (or restart), I'm going to have a harder time getting it catch on the new wood. Now some might say, "get a thermometer!", and yep, I got those, both stuck on the stove and one of those point and shoot. They work but sometime I don't have the hand held and across the room it is a lot easier to see the fan. There is also a beauty to the fan itself. So here after 2 years, I've come to review think that at first I wasn't impressed with the airflow but liked the look. After just one season, I started loving it. I sit across the room and will look to see that the fire is down but the fan is still going, therefore I have time. I finally came to review. Very little airflow, some but not much, no noise, looks nice, and lets you know the stove is hot.

Definitely moves warm air
First off, I've had a wood burner for more than 25 years and didn't realize these even existed until a few months ago. Santa was nice enough to bring one to us for Christmas and it was tough initially to really determine how much difference this fan was making as we had a two week long bitter cold snap. In the meantime, I debated on whether or not to order a second fan which I finally decided to go ahead and do. No regrets at all! Most definitely after adding the second fan we could tell warm air was being circulated. We have one positioned on either side of our chimney pipe with each slightly angled away from the stove. We have a relatively open floor plan, but we also are able to open and close enough doors to help regulate the temps in our main living areas. With both fans going, it made a huge difference versus past winters as warm air was now getting moved into areas that typically still felt cooler even when the main living area was warm. So we were most happy with that. After adding the second fan we also joked that it gives the stove top an almost "steampunk" feel to it which is just a fun side benefit. Lemme see now, other things to note. I did read someone else comment about it being tricky getting them out of the box. Yes, it is. But with patience and a lot of pulling of snug cardboard nested inside cardboard, it eventually all comes out of the box. Our second fan arrived with the box completely unscathed from shipping, yet we had a bent blade. It still worked fine, and in fact almost seemed like it was pushing even more air. But while I'm no rocket surgeon, somewhere in the back of my head just kept saying a bent/out of balance blade is going to burn bearings out or something or other. So I contacted L-Best stove accessory and they got a replacement blade out to me immediately. I can't say enough nice things about their customer service - great communication - I don't think I waited more than a half day for a response from any of my emails and that included Saturdays and Sundays. So hats off to them for the great service. I was able to pull the bent blade off fairly easily but had to put my cheaters on in order to see the tiny set screw on the replacement blade but it went on without any trouble with the help of the included allen wrench that accompanied the replacement blade. One other thing I had read in other reviews prior to purchasing was how you couldn't feel any air movement. I'm not sure if others are expecting these things to blow like a box window fan does or not, but no, they don't. But also as others have pointed out, the proof is in the increased temps in areas you direct the fans in. If you have any kind of portable thermometer where you can test, that's how you can tell they make a difference. For us it's our furnace thermostat. So I feel comfortable saying in an apples to apples comparison between before having the fans and after, they do make a difference for how we have them set up. I imagine it would largely depend on each individual's situation though? I'm not Bill Nye! I think that about covers it. We are most pleased with our fans and hope for many years of service. I don't think you can go wrong with one (or two) of these if you are looking for something to move your warm stove top air. Good luck!

WE LOVED THEM but they STOPPED WORKING in less than 2 years
I bought 2 of these VODA wood stove heat-powered fan in mid January 2024. The "Great room" /livingroom has a very high ceiling and we were happy with how they did a great job of blowing the heat toward the seating areas so that all the heat didn't just go up to the ceiling. We also loved the fact that the turning fans are noiseless. Right out of the box(es), we were impressed with how heavy, sturdy and well-made they appeared to be - we just placed them on the woodstove, and they just worked when we had a big fire. We figured they would last for many years. There was no need to move the VODAs, so we were very surprised and disappointed that although we are making hot fires in the woodstove daily this month and last, neither of the VODA fans work anymore!!! They can spin easy with a little push from a finger, but they stop and the heat no longer turns the blades. They don't run on electricity or batteries, so it can't be that. We are SOOOOOOO DISAPPOINTED!! (The XL LOPI woodstove has its own electric blower, but it is too loud to leave on when we are in the room.) Can we exchange them for new ones?????

Helps the heat circulate well.
I am very pleased with the fan. It works good. Looks like it’s very well built quiet and seems to move the air around. Thought I would write more to this review. I’ve had this fan a month and it’s really does a good job. Don’t even know what’s on, but it moves a lot of air and keeps the room. Very warm would highly recommend it. I have the large one with the five blade.

Works best on WOOD stoves vs gas stoves, but will still work.
Meant for a WOOD stove, not gas but will work. Ordered as a christmas gift to help circulate heat in case of power outage for our gas stove. It does work, but works better when the exhaust/vent pipe is NOT pointed out the TOP of the stove (rear exhaust/vented units work better). This is a "temperature differential" device, meaning you need a minimum difference in temperature for it to effectively work. You won't really feel a breeze from it, but that's not the point. It DOES help circulate the hot air from the stove. I'm curious if the 4 blade model would work better as in theory there are less blades, thus less weight for the little DC motor to spin. Sometimes it gets caught between the motor windings if the temperature difference isn't enough. But the Pelteir element isn't designed for this purpose, though it does generally work for our use. Hotter burning WOOD stoves shouldn't have this potential issue.

Doesn't last long
I loved it! I got it November 2024 it worked great till now. When I built my a fire this year nothing. At first I thought my fire wasn't hot enough so I kept getting it hotter. Then I looked on the reviews and I'm seeing where others say it lasted under2 years. I cleaned it and made sure the wires was connected and it still doesn't work. I'm very disappointed because I LOVED IT. It made a real difference in the heat.

Soild & Quality
The bracket holds the fan sturdy. It's not going anywhere. The fan runs quite. I'm satisfied with this purchase.

Fonctionne vraiment bien
