This book is helping me understand my role in my organization as a Database administrator even better. Bought to brush up my knowledge and skills in SQL Server 2016 coming from SQL Server 2012 R2. I found it to be an informative read and would recommend it to anyone.

Great reference/textbook for beginners. Well organized sections and chapters, which makes learning about the subject much easier for absolute novice. I would definitely recommend.

This textbook is a good textbook for taking SQL database management courses. I have found during my studies of this textbook that it feels not too well-organized. It teaches more advanced ideas and scripts before explaining the individual parts. For example, there are several examples and terms in an early chapter in which the text delve into trying to explain it, only to say "reference x chapter" which is a chapter later in the book. I want to know why some of the more advanced information is being taught in early chapters, not very well explained (I have used Microsoft's website to answer questions I have), and then be told to navigate to a much later chapter to find out more.It teaches some aspects in depth and very well, and others it leaves me with more questions than reasoning or explanations.

Not a bad option for a textbook. This supplemented what I was learning in my college class very well.

Great Book! very complete, it has 30 chapters where the author explain at detail each part them as whole the project

Book may say beginner's guide but there is plentiful information for the seasoned professional.

Sql beginners documentation.

This was amazing book

It's not an easy read but I've found that it really rewards sticking with it. I'm really quite new to SQL Server but it's been invaluable in getting the back end for a new project up and running on Azure SQL.

Ho trovato la guida fatta molto bene.Parla sia della parte sistemistica che di quella applicativa.Il titolo "for beguinners" potrebbe trarre in inganno, direi che va bene anche per addetti ai lavori già navigati.Uso SQL Server da più di 10 anni, ho trovato nel libro argomenti che ancora non conoscevo bene e sono riuscito a trattarli in maniera esaustiva.

Buen libro para aprender desde aprendiz a nivel intermedio. Es de fácil lectura y viene con bastantes ejemplos. Lectura imprecisdimble
