Very accurate but you must remember to lift handle to the highest point before aligning paper. I doubt I will be using my other trimmers much anymore. You won’t go wrong purchasing one of these guillotines. Review: Great cutter for many things - I really wish I would have bought this years ago. It's great because it's a cutter that does not need sharpening or blades to be replaced, and it's also a scoreboard so no need to have both. Plus it's expands out to larger sizes when I need to measure larger pieces of paper, but it's compact enough to keep on my crafting desk. And it's fairly lightweight. LOVE IT! Well worth the cost.
