Battery Fit Prius 14 Perfectly - Fair Price - Good Quality
The battery in my 2014 Prius Four - was 7 years old. Past experience with a 2007 Prius (I waited too long and the battery died) incentivized me to replace this battery before it died. If you have ever tried to access a 12V battery in the 2007-2014 (and maybe newer?) they are located in the back right side of the storage area. If they die, you cannot open the rear hatch or anything else for that matter... so once you get into the car using your mechanical key hidden in your electronic key case, you have to lower the seats and crawl into the back cargo area and release the rear hatch to open it .... crawl back out of the car and then access the battery to replace it. Not easy to do... the crawling in and out part... when you are in your 70's as I am. I did a lot of searching at auto part stores online and via phone calls... Amazon had the best price for this AC Delco. Then I brought the old battery to an Autozone store and they recycled it for me and gave me a $10 gift certificate to boot. Ordinarily they charge $18 for the core of the battery that you buy from them and refund it when you bring the old battery back. I did not get $18, but I saved about $20 with the purchase of this battery through Amazon and got a $10 gift certificate from Autozone.... win-win. Easy to install ... just make sure you connect the vent to the proper location on the battery because the last thing you need is explosive vapors from the battery circulating in your car... so it must be vented to send them outside the car. Very easy to do... just remember to do it. I cannot speak for how long this battery will last... but I also would advise charging it to full charge before installation. It arrived about 80% charged.

Fit perfectly in my Prius 2006.
I Purchased the Exterminator battery Dec. 2017 and last winter pretty much killed it. I don't drive my Prius as often as it needs to be driven to keep the 12v battery charged in cold weather. Nor did I have a maintainer on it. Expensive mistake! I had to keep a maintainer on it all winter, summer and fall to make sure it had some power and it finally died Monday. I ordered this battery yesterday and installed it today myself. What a PIA! Shame on Toyota for making changing a battery ridiculously difficult and time consuming! A five minute job that takes hours. Thank you to the YouTube people who are kind enough to show us how to change it ourselves. This battery fit perfectly. My car started immediately, so I drove it around town for about 30 minutes and came home and connected my 3A Schumacher maintainer to it. It was 87% charged and took 1 hour to charge to 99% and 4.5 hours to get to 100% charged. It's now maintaining.... and will continue to maintain all winter. Never again will I not have a battery maintainer on my 12v battery in Illinois winters. This is the third battery I've had to buy and they're not cheap. Anyway, don't hesitate on this battery if you have a 2006 Prius! And set aside an entire freakin day to change it out if you do it yourself.

Perfect fit for 2013 Prius V. Read this for installation tips.
Battery arrived promptly heavy and double-packed. Perfect fit for the well inside my 2013 Prius V. Arrived fully charged, but if yours is not be sure to fully charge it before installation. My old battery went completely dead after about 2 weeks of non-driving. Can't complain about 6 year battery life. No problem, I'll charge it like any 12V car battery. Even though the 12V battery is buried in the rear of the car, Toyota has helpfully provided an access point for the positive electrode under the hood. Make sure your charger can handle "AGM" type batteries. Most new "smart" chargers do. My 12V charger tried but gave up after about 5 minutes, even though I tried it about four times. Classic chicken-and-egg problem. To replace the 12 volt battery you need to open the rear hatch, but the hatch latch requires the 12 volt power you do not have. No problem, check YouTube for how to mechanically open a rear Prius hatch. Plenty of advice about the little silver lever you access by taking the rear deck apart, but my V has no such lever. I spent about an hour futzing around with flashlight, magnifier and two broken fingernails but could never find any type of mechanical release inside the tiny opening revealed by removing a pop-off plastic cover. In desperation I tried charging a few more times (some deeply discharged batteries require this) and finally there was just enough juice to operate the rear latch. A 10 mm socket wrench is all you need to remove a top bracket and the two electrode clamps. The positive clamp has a swing-away red plastic cover, revealing a second 10 mm nut. You do not need to remove this one, only the one holding the clamp onto the positive electrode. The positive electrode is a very tight fit, requiring a flat blade screwdriver to slightly coax the jaws apart after loosening the nut. Four nuts total. Be sure to unplug (and reconnect ) the little rubber hose (vent?) on the short edge of the battery facing the front of the car. Be warned that a Prius 12V battery naturally and slowly discharges even when the car is parked because on-board electronics such as remote locks require power all the time. It's advised to drive the car after extended rest periods to recharge the 12V battery. To avoid the chicken/egg nightmare I encountered I plan to replace it every 4-5 years or so, before it gives up. If someone can shed light on the mechanical rear latch release please let us know.

Excellent; solved startup problem
Excellent battery for the first week now. I was having increasingly intermittent problems trying to start my 2015 Prius IV for the last year and a half. Thought it might be the remote keys: no. Toyota dealer was not able to find the problem. Was worried it might be an expensive electronics problem: no! Simply installed this battery (it was simple and quick). Not sure why the original battery and this battery have a vapor port and Toyota tube that attaches to it since this battery at least is supposed to be totally sealed. Anyway, on my first start a week ago my Prius had the same problem of not starting (low initial battery charge?) but ever since then it has started every time (about 50 times) perfectly. The problem appears to have stopped now. Yeahhhh! Update February 16, 2020: Perfect startups for 3 months now (other than the first one after I installed it; just needed charging up by the car). Very happy to have completely solved my startup problems. And at a great price.

Battery failed within a month
I bought this battery for my 2012 Prius which wouldn't start. Installation was easy, and it was a perfect fit. I patted myself on the back and thought my troubles were over. Within 30 days, the car again refused to start, and the battery would not hold a charge. The battery has a 24 month free replacement warranty, but good luck if you need to use it. Calling the AC Delco support number was wasted time, as they said only Amazon could make warranty adjustments. Amazon's website would say the item couldn't be returned and referred me back to AC Delco. It took two tries over several days on Live Chat, but I did get Amazon to agree to refund the cost. Zero stars for the battery, two stars for Amazon. It shouldn't have been that hard to get a refund, and the confusion over who was responsible for issuing the refund made the whole experience irritating. Put a crowbar in your wallet and buy one from the dealer.

Perfect fit in my 07 Prius w/ smart key
Very fast shipping. Perfect fit in my 07 Prius w/ smart key. The product dimensions listed are wrong, they are for the carton that GM shipped the battery to Amazon in. The shipping label is still on the carton along with all the appropriate warning stickers about which way should be up. Very well padded as mentioned in other posts. The actual battery is 5"W x 9.25"L x 8" H not including the posts. Same W and L as the 4yo Parts Plus AGM that it replaced. 1/4 " taller tho, but the hold down bracket fit it perfectly. The PP battery may have been shorter than the OEM it replace but I don't remember. The OEM lasted 7 years btw, Some one at Amazon should have a talk with the maroon who thought the dimensions of the shipping carton would be helpful to anyone. They also need to have a chat with the packer who, in spite of ACDelco's labels as to which way is up, laid it down in a big smiley box with a single sheet of brown paper over it (for what purpose I don't know). Yes, I do know it is a sealed battery, but maybe ACDelco knows something we don't. In any event, it is not a decision an Amazon packer should be making. A 10 and 12 mm wrench with extension, a screw driver and a half hour is all you need to put it in. The you tube videos are helpful, takes longer to get the old one out then to put the new one in. The vent tube elbow fits well when inserted correctly, Look it over before you put the battery in place. Un-screwing the ground cable from the body is easier than fighting with the battery clamp. It's the first thing you should do when removing and the last thing when installing.

Excellent replacement battery / Toyota Prius
The Prius has two battery systems - (1) the hybrid battery and (2) the accessory 12V battery. Unlike traditional cars the 12V battery in the Prius is located inside - at the rear of the hatch. For safety reasons this requires specialized (AGM) battery technology. The ACDelco ACDB24R Advantage AGM 12V battery is a direct replacement for the OEM battery. It has the AGM technology, the correct physical dimensions to fit within the battery compartment, the correct post dimensions (smaller than traditional battery) and also includes the drainage port which is located in the same position as the OEM battery (therefore requiring no modifications to the drainage port or tube). I was able to install this into my Gen 3 (2010) Prius in about 10 minutes. In a Prius the 12V battery is charged through the hybrid system. It has no alternator per se. Because the engine and hybrid systems work together seamlessly it is difficult to assess when the 12V battery needs to be replaced. It is important to understand that the Prius computer systems are powered by the 12V battery and not the hybrid battery. As a result when the 12V battery degrades the Prius prioritizes available power to essential systems and disables less-essential systems (eg anti-skid, ABS, regenerative braking). As a result of this I experienced intermittent and eventually complete disruption of those systems (with indicator lights etc). In addition my MPG reduced by about 10-15% (because engine engages more frequently in failed attempts to charge the deficient 12V battery). Replacing the 12V battery resolved those issues. Note however that it took several days of driving before the computer system fully resolved the battery history to result in reliable anti-skid, ABS, regenerative braking and mileage performance.
