These are VERY thin. It's three beautiful cotton saris quilt stitched together. I save out the prettiest to use for dress material (pick them apart and make simple 2 piece tunics for myself). The prettiest are REALLY beautiful - patterns we only see in the most expensive clothes here in the US. I get tons of compliments on my sari-shirts. XD This is such a good deal for fabric, especially if you but several at once. As actual blankets, it's basically three layers of what we would use for sheets. It's perfect for me as I get really hot at night. They're light and cheap enough to get several and change it every day. They hold up in the wash great. I am sensitive to odors. These often come with a very strange, to me offputting smell. Not musty, not chemically - I'd call it "exotic." It comes out after washing a few times, or once or twice washing and line drying. If that's a problem, these quilts will disappoint you. To me, even though it's actually bothersome, it's worth running them through a few laundry cycles, after they arrive. The extra washes really soften them up EVEN MORE!

Absolutely stunning! Vibrant colors, they feel soft and nice, no weird smell, I can safely say... im obsessed and will definitely order more!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I absolutely love this vendor! I've purchased kantha quilts from others and they weren't actually authentic kantha quilts, just cheap machine made polyester blankets. Or the size was much much smaller than advertised, more baby blanket sized. Any quilt I've purchased from this vendor has always been authentic kantha. I'm always excited to see the patterns or skill level (you can tell by the stitching). It's a beautiful art! The material is always a nice breathable cotton like material that washes beautifully on gentle cycle and a touch of fabric softener, I always hang dry or a couple minutes on low heat in the dryer, then hang dry. They are cozy but still lightweight and the size is usually more generous than the advertised 88x55. The patterns are always beautiful and fit my "dirty hippie" style! PS: I have deuteranopia (a form of colorblindness) so I can't give any facts about what the colors actually are

These kanthas are beyond beautiful! I love the lightweight feel to them, and the variety of colors make them absolutely stunning. My only complaint at all, is that I got more orange and reds than any other colors. I’m hoping for more blue, green or purples colors in my next batch, but I’m 100% satisfied! I placed an order today for 5 more! I will be keeping many of them but will also use for gifts on BD’s and Christmas. Very affordable and each so unique. I did wash them immediately with Dreft and Downey so not only do the smell amazing, they’re also super soft and will be the perfect blanket for the summer months and our move back home to Florida! I can’t wait to receive my 5 newest ones tomorrow. Thank you!

I love these blankets, their light and airy and pretty and I use them in multiple ways. I have one on the couch as a cover - I have 2 kiddos and a big dog and its easier to pull a blanket off and wash it than try to clean the cushions. I use them outside in the summer when it's hot to keep the sun off my skin or to sit on, I keep one in the car and they are perfect for the beach. The one on the couch obviously sees a lot of wear, so it has deteriorated much more quickly. They do fall apart with more washing, but for $10 blankets, I dont expect them to last forever, and the one on the couch has lasted almost a year now, so i count that as worth it. There are 2 reasons I only gave a 4-star rating. The first is they do have a bit of an odor - I dont know if it's from the dyes or what but it took them a while to air out. The other is I purchased a 5 pack of blankets and there wasn't much color diversity between the blankets. Lots of reds and yellows, but very little of anything else. But overall, I'm still really happy with them.

One side has vibrant colors and the reverse is more muted. Random selection. Well sewn, no patches or holes. Light weight. I wash these on gentle cycle, cold water. Personally, I like to hang them to dry if possible, but I have tumbled them dry on low. Don't wash or tumble with items that have metal hooks or zippers as this could catch the stitching. I have had many of these. Great for sewing jackets, purses pillows and more.

These blankets are sooooooo pretty! And the hand sewing is so well done. The price is a steal, I absolutely love them and I’m redoing my bedroom, plus gifting them to others.

I love these, they are nice and light and beautiful. Why they don't get 5 stars is because the dye in some of them has a scent that you cannot launder out and, unfortunately, it is not pleasant.

Had no idea what colour it would be and took a chance, 1 side pink, the other yellow/orange, i love it and will order more! Its like 2 cotton sheets sewed together but great weight to travel with, it will come with me in my suitcase for sure

I love my Kantha. I wanted a colorful one and was worried I would get a full color but I got just what I was hoping for...a vibrant colorful one. The only issue for me was the smell was horrible and it even stunk up the room, but that issue resolved with washing it (and it washed and dried well on low). Do keep in mind that this is not your typical quilt....it will be thin and is more useful decoratively than for function.
