How is the sound quality?

It is not high quality, deep bass, and beautiful miss, and hi's, but it is acceptable. It will not fatigue your ears, or annoy you. It is very good, for the money.

Is the microphone suitable for calls?

Absolutely. It is perfect for phone calls, and is perfectly designed to do so.

Why does it only play in one ear. The right one powers off straight away after full charge time

Read the instructions very carefully about the controls. It is very easy to catch the controls and switch them off inadvertently. When you lift them out of the box, make sure the lights are flashing the same colour before connecting to your device.
