What line does it need?

Depends what you're fishing for really? I use a 10lb braid. Casts lovely. Really pleased with these rods (got 2 in this range)

Is this a better spinning rod than Abu Devil

It's a travel rod which means it's in four pieces, whereas the devil is in two pieces. The general rule of thumb is that the fewer pieces in the rod the stronger it is. Having said that, I have used both rods and haven't noticed a lot of difference between them. My preference is the tormentor simply because it is easier to transport.

Would this be fine for saltwater ?

Yep, that's what its been design for, light spinning.. Mackerel, pollock etc. I would suggest the 8ft version, I have two of these, one in a 4 piece and another heavier version in a two piece that I use to spin off the pier.

What is the strongest line you could put on this?

I’m using 50 pound braid and it’s been fine
