Great for emergencies or even just when you don’t feel up to standing in the kitchen to prep and cook a meal, then clean up afterward (hello chronic migraines). When I’m up to it, I like to put the water in a sauce pan, get it boiling, then add a packet of whatever frozen veggies I want and any seasonings I want to add (a smidge of herbs de Provence, garlic, black pepper, a little Reduced Sodium Better than Bouillon, etc.). I put the lid on the pan and wait for it to come back to just beginning to boil, remove it from the heat and then dump the packet in, stir it and put the lid back on. The veggies aren’t over cooked and I’ve got a three great tasting, relatively low calorie, lower carb meals with only one pot to wash.
