I bought this for back pain, and it’s honestly worth every penny. If you have lower back pain, this is a great, inexpensive option that can help. It’s a nice pain relief gadget, and I also like pairing it with exercises that strengthen your core, which helps support your back. Whenever I feel my back tightening up, I roll on this a few times and the pain goes away.

This is a well-made foam roller and overall I've been happy with it. The material feels durable, it has held its shape well with regular use, and the compact 13-inch size makes it easy to use at home without taking up much space. The textured surface works well for rolling out my back, legs, and other larger muscle groups. It's lightweight enough to move around easily but still feels solid and stable when putting body weight on it. I also like that the different sections of the surface provide slightly different pressure depending on how you position it. My only real complaint is the firmness. I prefer fairly aggressive deep-tissue pressure, and this has a little more give than I'd like. It still works well for stretching and general muscle recovery, but I wish the foam were slightly denser so I could get more targeted pressure into tight areas. For someone who doesn't want an extremely hard roller, the firmness may actually be perfect. The construction and shape retention are excellent, and I think it's a good value for the quality. I'd give it four stars. A slightly firmer feel would make it five for me.

Golly, I'm finally of an age to be excited by a foam roller review. Ok, so I now own more foam rollers than most gyms. All have their special uses, none are a jack of all trades. Sorry, if that's what you're looking for, you won't find it. What you will find is that this is the best all around tool for your BACK. Don't be intimidated by the "trigger point" namesake. This is actually quite bit gentler than the cheap standard foam rollers you see everywhere (if you happen to be in the market for more deep tissue kind, look at chirp wheel kind among others). So much so, this doesn't require any warm up stretching or activity. You can (and I do) literally get up first thing in the morning, go pee, then get on this thing, work out your back kinks, then go about the rest of your day. Same thing at night, I recommend this to be the last thing you do during the day before you roll into bed. Don't be lazy, if you had bad posture earlier, your back won't magically snap into alignment overnight, quite the opposite: you'll just wake up stiff and sore. Everything about this thing is "just right". Enough pressure, non slip and won't pop out from under you like others. Perfectly sized, almost travel worthy. Ok you can stop reading now, this is a good buy, period. end of story

This is a great tool. The firmness of the device allows for muscle support and great stretching to help in pain relief. I can pack it away and it is very portable when I go on retreat after I hike. It is a great investment and one's own health.
