It runs on two D-cell batteries. The batteries supply power to the ignition and LED monitor, and will last 3-6 months (depending on use).

Will this unit work with natural gas?

No, It works with LPG (liquid propane gas).

Is there a automatic timer to shut off?

There is no timer.But when the water flow stops, the gas shuts off, and when the water flows,it fires back up.

Can this be installed horizontally?

No, it cannot be installed horizontally. It's set up so that the burners heat the coils above.

Can this be used on inside bathroom that is build with bricks?

Yes, but please keep good ventilation. Since it will get very hot on top, we would suggest you install a vent pipe to stay safe.
