Perfect first bass! Lightweight and very playable.
If you're looking for a cost-effective version of a Fender Jazz Bass, this is the way to go. After trying lots of different models from various manufacturers, this is the one we settled on. The "C" style neck is super playable and the body is impressively lightweight—perfect for my daughter, who absolutely loves it. It did come out of the box needing a slight neck adjustment, but don't let that scare you. You can just check with your favorite AI for easy instructions on how to do it yourself!

You get more than you paid for with this guitar.
This is a great bass especially for someone starting to learn. It does need a setup but people are in the business of providing bass setups for a good reason. Every bass guitar could probably benefit from a skillful setup. The sound is excellent and buying without playing it first is probably not successful the majority of the time, but I am very happy with this guitar. I replaced the white pick guard with a clear one to see more of the wood. A large pick guard that you can't see through over your guitar is like hiding a beautiful tongue and groove wood floor with carpet. I believe you will enjoy owning this guitar especially for the small price.

Tarriff or not, this thing rocks!
Costs 20% more than it did a few months ago. I bought mine here for $279.99. Direct effect of tarriffs. We pay the tarriff, not China. But.... don't blame it on the bass- this thing is awesome. I usually buy 2-3k basses, play them a while and sell them. but this compares to most USA basses for a fraction of the price. Came ready to play out of the box, shiny and new, a really beautiful piece of work. I am amazed.

For a low-end price jazz bass, this bass is just fine.
I have 15 bass guitars presently. I built about half of them, from precision basses to jazz bass designs. I thought to purchase this guitar, based on reviews and the recommendations from some fellow players, that this bass performs well stronger than its price suggests. No, it's not a Player Series Fender, but I didn't expect it to be. The bass is mid-weight, balances well (no neck drop) with a wide strap (3") and the neck design is sleek; easy to get up the fretboard smoothly (the neck thickness/thinness radius near the nut is perfect). The pickups do accurately (sensitively) adjust the tone, from a quite deep rumble (heavy on the neck pickup) to a more balanced and lighter tone toward the bridge pickup. I've switched strings often, from black nylon tapewound flats, to the DR Pure Blue Round-Wound nickels-of which I stuck with. The quality of the bass is really very good. The lacquered black finish I chose was quality applied at the factory. The stock bridge was just fine, but I swapped it out for a "Kick-Ass" brand, high bridge and like that a little better. The fret job done at the factory is also smooth and consistent, no rough or jagged edges. The action is nice, responsive and quick. I prefer low action, and the quality fret construction does not buzz. For a very average player, as I am, this inexpensive bass is quite impressive. Looks good, sounds good, priced good. I'm tickled with the deep sound this bass can produce and recommend it. And I didn't have to shell out $1,500 for a Player Series Bass to get a jazz bass that performs as advertised.

Super Bass
I had a Fender sunburst Stratocaster 10 years ago, and I stuck with Fender for this bass. I even bought a sunburst because they are such great looking guitars. This Fender is easy to play, easy to tune, and sounds great. It was also very affordable.

Impressive bass for the price.
I was really impressed with everything about this bass for the price. I've purchased other instruments in this price range and they needed a lot of work but this just needed a set up and I'll probably dress a few frets at some point. The finish was good, the hardware is solid, and the electronics are not bad and it has a bit of that mid range jazz bass growl. It's a bit neck heavy though so I'd definitely recommend something like a good suede strap. Overall a fantastic buy for the money.

Great beginner bass
I'm completely new to bass guitars, but I wanted something to get the ball rolling with learning how to play, so I got this. The bass I received definitely needed adjustments to the saddles, truss rod, etc. but after adjusting, my bass is buzz free and sounds great!

Good Bass for light gigging
I bought this recently because I have been doing some acoustic gigs and wanted to add bass to the mix instead of Cajon or another guitar. It's a good bass, but it came with the body paint chipped off around the neck, so I can't really give it more than 3 stars.
