Will this canister valve fit a class 5 toilet?

Yes, but only a Kohler Class 5. If the toilet fills briefly and then stops, only to fill briefly again, you need not replace the canister. Instead replace only the red rubber gasket around the base of the canister. It's easier and faster to replace than the old style flapper valves and online store like PlumberSurplus.com sells them for $5.18 plus free shipping the last time I looked. Will this fit the Kohler Cimarron 1.28 gal per flush tank? The part no. on my tank is K4421-OA (or -DA?)? Thanks.

** I am not a plumber ** I had the same failure Izzy describes on my K-4421-CA tank, and same as Izzy, I only had to replace the black cylinder that moves up when you flush the handle and the very top connection piece with the white gasket underneath. I also replaced the white brittle hose, and to make the black hose fit better I cut about an inch off. So, if that is the only thing wrong, it will work. HOWEVER, as a general answer, I'd say no, this will not replace the whole assembly. My K-4421-CA had a 2" hole on the bottom, same as Izzy's video, and this is a 3" model. The cylinder that moves up and down is also roughly 1.5" shorter (as Izzy points out), which I believe leads to less water in the bowl and less water per flush.

no thi canister will not fit your k-4634. how ever you can order a 1083980 canister or a 102438 flush valve
