While the color wasn't exactly what I expected based on the listing, the quality of the stone and the finish are excellent for hand exercises. The Appearance & Finish The listing photos suggested a dark jade green, but the pair I received is a very dark, bluish-green—with one ball being significantly darker than the other. They don't perfectly match the "dark jade" look or each other, but they are perfectly symmetrical with a high-quality, polished finish. Weight and Feel I typically use these alongside a pair of chiming balls. These obsidian stones are actually 20 grams lighter than my chime set, which makes them excellent for working on speed and fine motor control. The transition between the two weights provides a nice variety for daily practice. Addressing the "Roughness" Reviews I noticed many reviewers claiming these are "too rough" or "make too much noise." In my experience, these are perfectly smooth. If you find them noisy or the texture feels "off," it’s likely because you’re letting them clank together. These are meant to be rotated without touching. If you’re having trouble with friction, I’d suggest watching a few YouTube tutorials on proper Baoding technique. When spun correctly, they are silent, smooth, and feel great in the hand. Pros: Beautifully polished, symmetrical stones. Great "speed" set (lighter than standard chime sets). High-quality solid obsidian. Cons: Color accuracy is off (more blue/black than jade). Natural stone variation means the pair won't be a perfect visual match. Bottom Line: Aside from the color discrepancy, these are perfect. If you understand the technique, you'll really enjoy the feel of these stones.

Its feels great, nice quality, easy to use, and I havent owned an all black pair before, they're beautiful.

I bot 2 sets and one is definitely better formed and finished than the other. One set seem to grind and scrape where the other glides smoothly. I enjoy the product but I've seen from other reviews and my purchase that the quality can lack in luster.

It is a reasonable effort at physical therapy of the hand. It is not a miracle cure. But the exercise seems to help with flexibility, strength. And less pain.

These are glass, not obsidian. You can see right through them

It’s all fake obsidian! Only one evening using these balls and they loosing colour and if you look at the light through them, you see they are transparent under the coating!

Not impressed, I ordered this item and what you see is not what I received. The little pouch to store them in didn’t come with them. The balls are clear with paint sprayed on them that scratches off. Faults advertising. Very disappointing. It was a gift for my son for Christmas, i would like a replacement and the pouch I paid for.
