Easy to sew and to gather up

Have bought before and it is still excellent. Used it to replace the heading tape on my John Lewis Anyday curtains. Find it easier to keep the professional hemming and shorten curtains from the top by replacing the heading. See photo. New header tape on left.

Compared to the market leader this tape is almost exactly half the price per meter. So it's good value for money. But look carefully and you will see that they have cut corners. The pockets for the curtain hooks are just a set of horizontal strands, not attached to each other. This allows them to bunch in the hook, particularly when under load as you are hanging the curtain. Bunched like this the hook is not stabilised into a vertical position and can twist out of the tape in extreme cases. The premium tapes have a hook pocket that is fully woven and stiff. The hook isn't going anywhere. If you are hanging lightweight curtains or can put up with a bit of a struggle then, once installed, this tape is otherwise as good as any. It draws up into pencil pleats just as well.

Really good value and price - excellent value

This tape was fine for heading a large bay window curtain lining. I was happy with the quality and it was good value for money. Sewing it on was straight forward's, and pulling it to the correct length worked as expected leaving a neat, attractive finish. Easy to use, works as expected.

Good quality tape. The tape doesn't shift when sewing it in place and it doesn't stretch either. Some tapes can be a machinists nightmare but this tape is easy to use. Definitely recommend
