I'm first to admit I'm not a baker or a chef but like to ha e all the tools and pretend sometimes. I just bought all new Calphalon stainleas pots and pans and it made my old mixing bowls look dated. After reading the reviews in these, the price locked in my purchase. There are a lot of sizes in the set. It almost looks like one or two more sizes could have been added to fill in the gaps but this is more than I will ever need. The good 1. Easy to clean 2. Price is reasonable 3. Variety of sizes 4. Appearance is pleasant 5. Light weight The bad... I would say light weight because to me it feels lower quality but my baking friends say light weight is better to pick up and hold while mixing etc so I have to say there is NO bad comments from me. Other Great price and compliments my other kitchen gear nicely so I'm very pleased

Dearly love this set of mixing bowls! I bake a lot of things but mostly homemade yeast rolls. It takes a few bowls from beating eggs in one to measuring out sugar, flour, yeast, etc in several others. I place my 8 cup recipe of dough for yeast rolls in the largest and let it rise for appx 2.5 hours. Its a very heavy mixture! The bowl has held up great each time.....very reliable!!! They are great for my purposes. I know I'll also use them a lot this summer, when canning season starts. Purchase recommended!!! PS..........I'm not sure why there are so many one (1) and two (2) star reviews with terrible verbiage??? Mine were packed decently, no dents. They actually feel thick to the touch. They seem to be very sturdy, no bending and popping at the bottom as some have indicated. No rusting and I rarely dry them to put up. Usually just let them air dry in my rack overnight. I noticed some of the bad reviews were from 2016 and 2017. Maybe they're shipping a different product than then???? I really don't know. All I DO know is the ones they sent me are very satisfactory!!!!

Upon purchasing and inspecting bowls for dents and if they sit flat, I hand washed them. As I was drying a bowl with a paper towel I noticed a black soot. I wiped the entire bowl with pressure until no more came off. I hand washed it again and after wiping it dry, the paper towel was still white. Since the residue was coming off uniformly over the whole interior surface, that points toward polishing residue or fine metal dust. Nice bowls but make sure you wipe them clean, with pressure, and wash them. I would give 4.5 stars. Photo: This is the paper towel I used to wipe the inside of the medium size bowl.

As described, well made, light, very useful.

These are everything and more. Aesthetic and functional, with a curved lip for comfortable handling. Will use for food prep and serving. Simply beautiful, a great value. I love them, replacing a 50 year old set of Revere Ware

Perfect, lightweight and a complete set

These space-saving stacking stainless bowls are a great way to add many bowls to your kitchen collection. They're made of a medium grade material and are lightweight. On first inspection, they arrived in perfect condition. However, on first use, I noticed a grey residual material on my countertop. Most likely from having not thoroughly washed the bowls prior to first use. Although I had used soap and water, it required another thorough scrub. Luckily I had on hand some Barkeepers Friend and gave these a thorough scrubbing outside and inside. Especially around the top edges where a black residue (most likely from the manufacturing process) was removed. After that thorough cleaning, I did not see any marks on my countertop and was confident I had removed the film leftover from manufacturing. The bowls are very shiny and new when first received. Packaging was sufficient. They arrived on time. So I am happy with the purchase. I just caution anyone receiving anything like this to thoroughly scrub before using.
