where is this made ? And does it contain sugars ?

It is made in Quebec Canada, and it contains malt syrup, and corn syrup, so yes it has sugars. My cats absolutely love it, they think it is a treat, and lick it right out of the tube!

What all ingredients, not just petro and mineral?

White Petrolatum USP, Light Mineral Oil NF, Corn Syrup, Malt Syrup, Soybean Oil, Cane Molasses, Water, Gelatin By-Products, Sodium Benzoate (a preservative), Natural and Artificial Flavors.

Whne ordering, how do you know if it's the maple flavor or not?

I find it best to use the picture as a guide. The new maple packaging has an orange cat on it.
