Does this come with the rack to hold the back? Or is the rack a separate purchase?

The rack is a separate purchase.

Does the rack come separately from bag and how do i get to look at those?

The rack is separate from the trunk bag ... you will need to look up racks compatible with your type of bike ...

Can this rack work on a carbon seatpost?

Absolutely!! As long as you install cargo rack. So much room for a lot of stuff. You cant go wrong .enjoy your new bag.
