Doctor wants me taking 75 mg of iron daily due to iron deficiency. I originally bought 28 mg OTC iron supplement that left me with constipation issues. Found the Hememax and decided to try it. Still having the constipation issues and for some reason when I take this supplement I seem to get palpitations or at least that's what it feels like. So will go back to the regular iron supplement for now until I can find something else.

I have stomach issues which seem to both restrict my iron absorption (I became very anemic over time) and also made it hard for me to tolerate store-bought iron supplements. This is the first brand of iron supplement I can take without feeling ill. Since taking it, I have felt more energetic. I would like to have a blood test to see whether I still have any signs of anemia. Part of my recent energy increase could also be due to a change in dosage of a thyroid hormone supplement. So, while I cannot completely rule out other factors in this energy increase, I can say with certainty that this product does not bother my stomach the way other iron products have. That is huge, and I greatly appreciate it.

I recently had an issue where I bled for a month. I purchased this supplement because I did not want to become anemic. When I was finally able to get in with the doctor for blood work, I was not anemic. This problem has happened in the past and I became very anemic so I know that this product worked and saved me from having that. I had started to feel weak and tired and short of breath before I began taking it and those symptoms were gone by the 5th day. It was a very easy iron supplement to take because it didn't bother my stomach at all.My only disappointment is when I went to order more it was no longer available.

It worked as long As I took it. Wish I could find it again!
