Why does control not fast forward, rewind or pause live tv?

In my experience, it’s a spectrum issue that won’t allow 2 remotes for 1 TV. I have tried working with spectrum to solve the problem but no luck so far. I can get the second remote to do some functions but not all of them.

How do I program my remote to work with my Spectrum receiver?

You need to find the code for your tv. You should have a list of codes that came with the remote. My tv says it is a Sharp but in reality it is a Hisense. If you have a question about your brand of TV look in your owners manuals. You may need to call them. Hope this helps.
