Can this be mounted to the side of a vinyl siding house?

I would not recommend attaching to a single point on the vinyl siding due to the pressure. It will likely pull out of the siding/sheathing unless you happen to catch a stud. I attached a 3’ pressure treated 2x4 to the house and then installed the sail kit to that to spread the pressure over a larger area.

Why does this only come with two turnbuckles when there are four mounting points for the sail?

not sure of how you plan to mount your sail, but if it is a square sail, you can use a carabiners for one corner eyelet with turnbuckle at opposite end eyelet along same edge of sail and vice versa for other two eyelets.As I don't have a visual of how you plan to mount your sail, I'm a bit limited on further advice, all the best with your project

can you adjust the length of the cables?

Cables can be adjusted to a limited degree using the turnbuckles. For more major adjustments, the cables can be shortened or added to using matching crimps, eyelets and a crimping tool

where does thess cables attach to the 12 foot square wind sail

Hi Sharon cables may or may not be needed depending on how you plan to attach the sail. If you have fixing points that match size of sail, you can use turnbuckles only if fixing points are (post or building) are further away cables can be strung between them and cables threaded through sail corner eyelets. If this is the case may need some D clamps to keep sail secured to cables. All the best girls can do anything☺️
