does this clock actually tweet the hour. I had a clock that would chime 2 for 2 o'clock then three chimes for 3 O'clock etc etc.

No it doesn't. It just tweets , and that's it. It does tweet every hour , but not one tweet for one oclock , or 2 tweets for two o'clock , ect . i thought it did also before i bought it. Hope this helped :)

Can you cover the light sense or so it doesn’t chirp at all?

It doesn’t chirp at night bc it’s dark. But yes you could cover it when light out or I just take out the battery that allows the chirp and the clock part still works

What is the height with pendulum

I lost the pendulum in the move and I can not get the manufacturer to let me order a new one So my clock doesn’t work right now

It performs well and is darling. The images are just sticker sheet pressed on but it looks fine for my needs. I am very happy with it! I know I would pay bundles of money for an exquisite one but I'm content that I didn't have to to get something adorable! Update: I returned for an exchange but then return that one too. It randomly. like every day or night or so continues to run the gears after the bird goes back in at the o'clock hour. the only way to stop it is to take two of the three batteries out and put them back in. shouldn't have to do that, of course. I means taking it off the wall and putting it back up. Sorry it did not work out in the long run.
