I have a flexlite fl17. Is it much of an effort to replace it with this tank?

not sure. this tank has a quick clip you pull it up and out move the tank out and put in a new one 5 min top. if you don't have a quick clip this tank will have both sides.

Not on the tank necessarily, on the line that leads to and from the tank could be beneficial, in my opinion.

yes bladder replaceable. At 30 psi, the tank holds 0 gallons, if the bladder pressure is set at 30 psi. At 60 psi, the tank would hold approximately 14 gallons, if the bladder pressure was set at 30 psi...make sense?
