Long life and so many features. Love this smart bulb!
I feel like it would be unfair to take a star off because I'm now sick of my 5 year old asking me "Daddy, can you make the lights green? No a different green... no red.. actually pink". So I'll try to review on the merits. Originally bought these for their color changing functionality to add a bit of color (literally) to our holiday decor. These work great through the app and are easily programmable. Also compatible with Alexa and Smart Connect. That's just the start though, through the app they can be dimmed, easily control the white balance, set a schedule and get some feedback metrics on how much you're likely spending over a given period. Being LED, these last much longer than incandescent bulbs and have better economy. The first bulbs we bought of this type have lasted through several apartment and house moves, surprising me with the longevity. The app is also compatible with a number of other smart devices like sockets and cameras, so as to reduce the number of apps you have to use. I now have probably 20 of these bulbs and it's not taxing the wifi and seem to be working flawlessly. I've actually used them to replace a number of budget bulbs that flickered with every slight voltage drop (Wife's hairdryer I'm looking at you).

A bulb with options
Great product with easy setup. Control your lights with options. Choose on/off, brightness , color and even a timer. Love it.

These work great. Colors are spot-on. Some notes on Alexa
Solid product. The colors are spot on. I especially like the different shades of white through the day if you set them to adjust with the time. Tried other bulbs w Alexa and they either didn't work at all or had to be reconnected all the time. What a pain! I definitely recommend these as smart bulbs for use with Alexa but... The first several bulbs I purchased, I checked the box at checkout to link them to my Amazon/Alexa and bam! They setup immediately with Alexa. I didn't have to use the manufacturer's app. However, I bought another set, checked the same box at checkout, and they did not connect using Alexa. So I downloaded the manufacturer's app and set one up and it broke the connection with all the previous bulbs and Alexa. I couldn't even delete the original ones from the Alexa app. So I... -Disabled the skill from the manufacturer's app within Alexa -Set up all the bulbs using the manufacturer's app -Deleted the Alexa app from my phone and reinstalled it (don't worry, everything is still there once you log in) -Re-enabled the skill in the Alexa app All the lights showed up in the Alexa app again. Everything was good in the Alexa app as far as routines and everything else, except the lights. I had to re-add the lights to the existing routines. So I would suggest setting up the bulbs in the manufacturer's app FIRST and enable the skill in the Alexa app. I hope this is helpful :)

Good, but some connectivity issues
The Kasa Smart Light Bulbs offer a convenient and customizable lighting solution with their full color-changing and dimmable features, compatible with Alexa and Google Home. However, while they have their merits, their reliability in staying connected to the internet leaves something to be desired. On the positive side, these bulbs provide a wide range of colors and brightness levels, allowing for personalized lighting to suit any mood or occasion. The integration with popular smart home assistants like Alexa and Google Home adds to their versatility, enabling convenient voice control for seamless operation. That said, the inconsistency in maintaining a stable internet connection can be frustrating and impacts their overall usability. There are occasions when the bulbs fail to connect or become disconnected from the network, disrupting the intended lighting settings and requiring manual intervention to reestablish connectivity. Often just one will disconnect, meaning I can’t control them both at the same time. Other times, both disconnect. While the lack of a required hub simplifies the setup process, it seems that the reliance solely on a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network may contribute to the connectivity issues experienced by some users. It's worth noting that in environments with multiple smart devices or interference, these issues may be exacerbated. In conclusion, the Kasa Smart Light Bulbs offer a decent lighting solution with their color-changing and dimmable capabilities, enhanced by compatibility with popular smart home platforms. However, the inconsistency in internet connectivity detracts from their overall reliability and usability. For users seeking a seamless smart lighting experience, it may be worth exploring alternative options with more robust connectivity features.

Smart Lighting Done Right
These TP-Link smart bulbs are excellent. I was using another brand before that worked fine at first, but suddenly stopped working. After switching to these, I could immediately tell the difference. They sync very quickly with my assistant, and the colors are bright and vibrant. Overall, the experience is really solid. Setup was super easy, and the app is great—simple, intuitive, and hassle-free. I highly recommend them. I got them at a great price, but even at regular price they’re worth it. If you find them on sale, don’t even think twice.

TERRIBLE BULBS
I don't know why I though these would be good. I have a Kasa smart plug in my living room and it works, maybe that's why I thought their products would be good. It does seem light Amazon promotes this brand as working well with Alexa. Let me tell you my experience. A while back I found a package of Kasa smart plugs on a lightning deal so I bought them. Not long after I bought an Alexa device (maybe it was Prime Day, I don't recall) and it came with a smart bulb -- NOT A KASA but a different brand. Now I am just venturing into making my home "smart-ish" by use of lights and plugs. The Kasa plug worked great in my living room as I said, but I didn't use the bulb right away, in fact I forgot about it. Later I ordered ONE Kasa bulb and later some off brand plugs - mind you I still had a Kasa plug from the lightning deal from earlier. The problem I ran into with the Kasa product was that unless they are within a few feet of my router they will not connect. The Kasa bulb in the lamp near the router works great! When I try to use a Kasa bulb or plug in my bedroom (not that far from the router) I keep getting told by the app that it won't work because there is no connection or it is too unstable. However, when I put the off brand bulb in my lamp and plug in a device to the off brand smart plug (both in my bedroom) they connected instantly and I've had no problems at all! I cannot imagine I am the only person experiencing this issue. Of course these things I'm describing happened a little while back, not long, long ago but long enough that I forgot which bulbs I had where so when I found a pack of 4 Kasa bulbs on a lightning deal I thought the price was too good to pass up. I am still trying to "smarten up" my home. I received them today and put them into lights in the very same rooms where I have lesser known brands of smart bulbs or plugs and low and behold the Kasa app is telling me exactly what it told me last time! That I have a weak connection or no connection to the wifi in those room and the bulbs will not work there!! It is so frustrating because I know that is not the case! These Kasa products are simply garbage, do not waste your time. Buy the off brand that will connect nearly instantly without the headache of trying and retrying to connect plugs and bulbs that are never going to work! I'm sending these back. Sure, I got them on a deal, but they weren't so cheap that I don't want my money back!

Decent Quality TP-Link Wifi Bulbs That Work With Kasa and Deco Apps
I purchased these bulbs for three reasons. First, they were on sale during Amazon Prime Days. Second, being TP-Link Kasa products they work with my existing Kasa App and are also compatible with the Deco router app so I didn't need another app (TP-Link? We don't need Kasa, Deco and Taco- consolidate them already.) And Third, and most importantly, SengLED finally completely and utterly self destructed and stopped working with the Alexa infrastructure. These four bulbs on sale cost less than a two pack of the SengLED brand which require a Zigbee hub that doesn't work without the SengLED back office- which is basically dead now. For the bulbs themselves, they are slightly smaller than old fashioned bulbs, so don't try using them in a lamp that has a spring-grip shade. Setting them up is simple, have the Kasa or Deco app open, select add a bulb of this model and turn the bulb on. You will connect to it via Wi-Fi and then setup will take a couple of minutes depending on how slow/busy your local network is. On my Deco (TP-Link) network, the bulb took about 30 seconds to connect and appear. I haven't had a problem with the bulbs in the month they've been operational, so they already are doing better than the old SengLED bulbs ever did. And even when my internet connection is down; these bulbs still seem to work okay since they are controlled by the Deco routers (note: I've since moved my other Kasa devices over to the Deco app because controlling them from Kasa they do stop working if the internet connection is down.) I've been pretty please with most of the TP-Link hardware I've purchased over the years, and am glad the bulbs are apparently reliable as well.

Seriously, best purchase I did this year
I bought automation, smart plugs, smart keys. But this tp link bulb is the best purchase I did this year. It works seamlessly. No need for extra HUB. Directly connects to the internet. Kaza app is easy to use. Alexa enabled too.

Buen producto
