are these tubes , or tins?

They are tubes. That tin pictured is a larger tin that the tubes are arranged in. I no longer have the tin (I have since repurposed it into a mini sewing kit to give away)--if I still had it I would measure it for you.

Is this a legit Smith's product?

I gave them as a gift, so I can't be certain, but I thought they were legitimate.
