Great idea that works!
I have had this item before and it was fantastic for something that is cheap and simple! The last property it was easy to install and cut off the end... On wooden flooring!! This time, I added it to a thick fire door with carpet! It was a big struggle to get it sliding to the end but I got there and it is doing the job I wanted it to do! However it is now a struggle to open my door. I will persevere in the hope it all settles down. I do have quite thick carpets though...
