Feraghan/New City New City Contemporary Modern Wavy Circles Area Rug, 8' x 10', Black

At first I was not very impressed by this rug. When I unwrapped it, the rug appeared a bit thin but I figured for the price it was worth keeping. I am very glad I did. This rug laid flat on the floor almost immediately without trying to work out all kinds of lumps and bumps. It is nice and soft to the touch. I have it on a thick rug pad that I bought separately. I have found it is essential to use a nice thick pad for comfort under area rugs. It is smaller than the Amazon rug filter description but the actual size is clearly stated on the product description so you need to be mindful of the dimensions when ordering. This meant I had to trim up the rug pad so that it was a few inches shorter than this rug. I looks beautiful and is in a high traffic area with pets. The colors are a bit more subtle than the online photo. Overall I am delighted with this area rug. The seller was fantastic. I originally got a notice from Amazon I would receive it in a 5-7 business days but received it within 2 days.

Extremely fast delivery!! This rug seems to always go from huge savings to upwards to $200 (I've seen it around $130, free shipping). I purchased the 8" x 10'10" for our "living room" which is in an open floor plan.Pros: true to color, lovely feel on barefeet, easy to clean and no need to buy a nonslip mat for under the rug (at least on hardwood floor)Cons: for many, it may be too thin of a rug, although it's perfect for my home. It's without a doubt on the thin side.Once unrolled, one side had a slight upward lip that only took a day or two with a few books to relax. On waxed hardwood floors, this rug does not move around. For the price, you're getting the greatest value out of this rug. With the gorgeous, yet subtle, curves that sweep across this piece, it'll appear as if you spent a few hundred on it. ;)

This rug looks great, and the colors are vivid. I'm very please with this rug now, but for the first few months, I wasn't so sure. When I unwrapped this thing, it had a strong smell like a canvas tent. Not sure what I'm talking about, join the Army or go into an Army surplus store. Yep, that's what this thing smelled strongly of for well over a month. It also took this rug a few months for the waviness from being rolled up to go away so that it lays flat. But, damn it is a good looking rug. It really set the room apart. The Dude abides!

After more than a year of use this rug has held up. It's not exactly soft but it is not unpleasant at all on bare feet. I didn't give it a 5 star on ease of cleaning because the black areas really need extra attention when vacuuming. I have a super animal Dyson vac. I have to assume the whole rug would need the extra attention I give the black parts because debris shows more on the black areas.Great value. Has held up really well. In a well used environment. Updating to 5 stars because I put it down in 2018 and it's still fabulous after 3 years.

I'm not sure that ordering a rug on line is the best route to go. This rug feels thin, cheap and has a kind of slippery feel on bare feet. The delivery was faster than expected and though it's an easy method of getting a rug, I feel that being able to touch and feel it before buying, may be important. I'm not returning it only because it may be more trouble than it's worth. I have a feeling that it will wear out quickly, so next time I'll go to a store.

I am delighted with my rug, although I would caution buyers that the sizes are different than listed on the product page. The correct size will only appear when you put the rug in your cart. For example, the 8' x 10' rug is actually 7'10" x 10'10". That means it's almost a foot longer than listed. I was fortunate to notice and change my order in time, but it would be easy not to.The rug itself is fabulous. Vibrant colors, which were accurate to the pictures. Plush texture. Easy to care for--I suspect that the fibers don't absorb liquids easily. The fibers also seem to be colorfast; my cat pooped on it (grrrrr...), and I was able to use antibacterial wipes on the rug without any color bleed.

Based on review I bought the rug. Great design with nice sparkling color.However, when I put it on floor, i saw a few bumps. I thought this is go out once we put on some weight. I was out of country on vacation, came back, stayed with the rug for a while but there was no change in its shape. It remain crippled with bumps at a few places which was unsafe for kids to fall down and hit center table etc.I scraped it ultimately. Lying in my garage as a waste!!

I am not a fan of making purchases like this (a rug) online because I always like to feel and see the quality up close. Most of the reviews were positive but given a recent purchase I have been a lot more careful to read the negative reviews as well. The negative reviews complained about the quality being poor or a funny smell, etc. This rug arrived in pristine condition, terrific packaging and was 'easy to install' :-) It is a very comfy rug to walk on, sit on, and our cats love it as well! The colors are IDENTICAL to what the photos show on the product page. Great product and for the price we got it for, I have NO complaints and am grateful I made this investment online instead!
