I have been looking for a newspaper delivery box for a few months now. My current one, which was on the front of my house for well over 30 years,finally gave out. My wife and I had been duct taping it together from the inside for about the last 5 years and could no longer keep it intact! I saw this on Amazon and finally decided to buy it as our current newspaper carrier gave up her paper route and a new carrier took over. Our old carrier always delivered our paper in the box, always even after the box was gone from the house, she put it right at the door stoop. The new carrier would deliver it by the door, maybe on the 3rd step down or to the hinge side of the door which meant you would have to open the storm door go out around the door to pick it up! Even though it would be bagged, it would still get wet if it were raining. Now I can mount this new box, which is exactly the same as old one was over 30 years later! It won't be hard for for her to figure out where to place it now, will it! Yes $35 seems pricey, but look at it this way, over 30 years of use on my old one means it only cost almost nothing to have a dry newspaper. Over 30 years use means it has had over 12,000 newspapers placed in it for say 35 years! do the math, it will cost nothing to have and use over time! Oh yes, and another thing, it was delivered in just 24 hours. I placed my order on 2/29/2016 at 11 a.m., and it was at my door at 1 p.m. on 3/1/2016, now that is fast!

Gasket set was incomplete missing important items

I live at the end of a gravel/dirt road and got this box to keep my newspaper out of the mud. While it works in keeping it off the mud, it has holes for attaching to a fence or post which allows water in. Trying to figure out how to plug the holes so my paper will stay dry. Tried silicone, but this did not stick well and fell off. Be aware if you order this.

keeps the paper dry. Now if I can get the paperboy to use it.

Simple, straightforward and flexible. This works well in inclement weather.
