Not Professional Quality But Functional!
I do the social media for a small business which is primarily just basic product photos for FB/IG/e-mail and short videos for TT. T his little stand is very functional for being able to film myself and take steady product shots. I have a few complaints but none are major, and Iโd absolutely recommend it to others who need something affordable. A pleasant surprise was that itโs also particularly nice for photographing pictures/documents straight down flat on a table/surface. My list of (minor) complaints: -itโs QUITE heavy, heavier than my laptop! This is great for keeping it steady but carrying it around in my bagโฆOOF. -you have to charge the remote and the base separately, with the same charger. -I have managed to pair the remote with my phone for the shutter, but havenโt figured out how to pair it with the base to control the lights. -if I leave it in my bag folded up the buttons for the lights are still exposed so the light sometimes gets turned on in my bag. -if itโs extended quite far, it does have a bit of sway/wobble noticeable in close up shots. -because the phone is ABOVE the light instead of in the middle like a ring light, the lighting doesnโt work as a primary light source on a face without causing raccoon-eye shadows -the phone holder is great with a thick case but not if you have a pop socket; youโll have to remove the pop -the phone holder only adjusts (in all three dimensions) in 45 degree increments so itโs sometimes tricky to achieve precise angles on some shots Overall a great value and Iโm pleased with it!

Works Perfectly with iPhone 13 Max Pro
Other reviewers left some "cons" on this unit. I don't believe the followed the directions on opening the unit completely (locks in place)... I have a iphone 13 Pro Max and 1) it DID NOT TIP OVER 2) it DOES not show the base of the holder in ANY shots 3) you have to pull it COMPLETELY out and lock the "bending" port and then you can push the length back in to bring the level lower. I have had many different phone holders for live streams and this one is actually compact and easy to put away when down filming. I didnt have use for the light system of this as my studio gets natural light already...so I can not comment on that matter... but I really love this little item and am so glad to have one!

A great all-in-one set for shooting fixed videos with smartphones
As in title, a useful setup overall, just as I had hoped for from the product description. There are a few points I would like to leave behind, but I don't feel any of these are major setbacks. One point is that some intermediate angles are difficult to maintain, as the light's weight and the phone's weight combined forces down the joints to the next stable angle, for example 90 degrees. The rod joint exposes a plus screw, but I couldn't tighten this enough to stay put on its own; the light's joint does not expose any way to adjust at all. Not critical, as I can still maintain any intermediate angles by external means, but a standalone fix would be even better. Another point is that the phone fixture was very rigid with my case to begin with; so much that I posed a query above. Following the advice there to force it a bit in case it was stuck, I managed to turn this part, but only with a large snap. (video attached) I must mention though that after this snap, the phone fixture seems to be happy to rotate smoothly as anticipated, so not a major problem after this. One final point is the weight; though as expected, it IS a bit heavy. I still think this is a good balance given the specs. All in all, a good recommend, with some points that could be further strengthened.

Broke my IPhone 13 because it has no LOCKING MECHANISMS UNSAFE FOR PHONE
I hate it I thought I was gonna like it when it first came until I realize that it swings like a pendulum because it has no locks if you accidentally hit it it will take your phone through it it will take your phone slam it it does everything to your phone it is totally unsafe the only part on it that has a lock is the main base that stops it from going all the way down the top part where the actual what you call it is if your phone is a 13 if you want to use it a certain type of way it will be heavy it will tip over and swing around itโs very unstable I have not used it since itโs still it sits around and collects dust literally and I literally hate this purchase all I did was make me have to spend more money to fix my phone so overall I hate it overall itโs an experiment that needs to be improved and I feel like Iโm a guinea pig and I had to pay for them to improve it so if another one comes out with better locks on it in and things like that and I will be more than glad to use it but as long as you can walk past it accidentally hit it and it will take your phone and slam it into the into the actual into the actual pole and into the into and then fold up Iโm OK I donโt use it I use it for lights but as far as putting my phone on it youโre better off duck taping it around the mechanism so it does not move I have to literally put some thing around it like a rubber band or something where the joint is to stop it from swiveling and then rocking like itโll just if youโre not worth the money rip off they should sell it for 999 because itโs a 999 mechanism they probably cost of 23 dollars to make not even that $.50 to make so keep your money keep your money do not spend it do not say to stick with the ring light this is overrated

Camera down does not stay secure, it tiltsโฆ
Overall, the unit is compact and sturdy due to the heavy base. The reason for this purchase was mainly for overhead filming. I have an iPhone 13 and it fits in the phone holder but itโs not very snug or secure. The clasps are just plastic with no rubber pads to really hold your phone in. When trying it for the 1st time, positioning it downward, it had a tendency to tilt on its own. I find this to be a flaw since it canโt stay downward securely. Itโs fine when itโs angled slightly to film slightly forward. I have not used it to film upright. The remote switch camera on/off switch worked fine after the pairing was completed (super easy) but the light switches did not work. Perhaps I need to charge it more? Unsure. Still on the fence on whether or not I want to keep it.

I had high standards and it met them
In the comments I noticed some people with negative things in their reviews that gave me concerns. When I got the product, I checked everything so I could leave a review based on what other people were saying the problems were. I had no problems at all. One issue was that if us wanted to use it as an over head mount that it would flop down. If you read the directions, it says "make sure the phone holder is facing upward." Another person said that they had trouble pairing their remote to Bluetooth or using it with the lights. The directions mention holding the camera button until the light flashes to turn it on. As soon as it's on, you are already pairing it with your phone. If it doesn't work, the directions say try charging it and doing it again. The lights on the remote are the same way. You have to hold the button until the the light turns on, then click the button to change the level, and hold it down until the light goes off. If the remote is not already on, this will not work. Since the review about the remote mentions nothing about the instructions, or any of the steps they used, there is nothing to say if it really was a bad remote, or just user error. The other issue that was pointed out is that it came with one charger. Since it uses the new standard phone charger, you probably have a few extra laying around for road trips, or if a fried or family member comes to visit and forgets theirs, but if not, a trip to the dollar general will solve this problem and you can even find your favorite color. I'm being real with you guys because I hate when I buy a product and the reviews say it's great for the price and you find out it's just a polite way to say cheap. I am so glad I bought this product event though I had doubts based on comments of people who probably didn't bother to read the world's easiest to follow instructions. Also, the range of the overhead mount is so large that you won't regret it if you are looking to make videos on your crafts or unboxings or whatever. Plus, my cat loves laying under the light, so what more could I want.

Wanted to love it but canโt
Not sure if the one I got was previously used by someone else or defective but this didnโt work as well as I had hoped. While I did use it quite successfully to film several videos, it was a complete struggle bus almost every time. I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max which fit in the clip perfectly and the stand seemed to hold the weight fine. However, the clip would often slide the phone at an awkward angle while filming and I would have to wedge something under the phone to get it to film straight (I shouldnโt have to do that). The other issue I had was when filming overhead (which was the whole purpose of purchasing this), the stand would lean over too far. Again, it took maneuvering and rigging something to balance the weight so the angle would appear flat in the video, but then the camera was shakey. Not ideal and againโฆ shouldnโt have to do all that extra work. The final straw was when trying to film at the 45 degree angle (vs overhead). Even with constant repositioning of the phone, the phone holder kept slipping out of the โangle lockโ (or whatever itโs called). I will be returning this because I canโt continue to waste time with all this nonsense. I do plan on ordering another one in the hopes that this one was just defective or a returned item that was damaged by someone else previously. ๐คHonestlyโฆ if the next one works as it is supposed to, Iโll update my review because I really do love this!! Side note: there are a few reviews on here about how the phone holder doesnโt โstay up.โ It is entirely USER ERROR because people do not take the time to read directions or read/watch reviews. There are some great video reviews that show you exactly how to get the phone holder to โstay up!โ
