Great multi meter
“I recently purchased the Klein multimeter, and it has quickly become one of my favorite tools. The build quality is solid, and it feels durable enough for both professional and DIY use. The readings are precise and reliable, whether you’re measuring voltage, current, or resistance. The display is clear and easy to read, even in low-light environments, thanks to the backlight. It also has an auto-ranging feature, which makes it convenient for switching between different measurement tasks without needing to adjust settings manually. Another standout feature is its safety – it feels well-insulated, and the leads are sturdy. The battery life is impressive, and I appreciate the built-in stand that allows hands-free use. For the price, it offers excellent value and performance. I’d highly recommend the Klein multimeter to electricians, technicians, or anyone needing a dependable, accurate tool for electrical work.”

Great (High) DC Amp Clamp On Meter for the Price - READ THE MANUAL FIRST!
I was mostly interested in the the clamp-on DC (high) amperage abilities of this meter for working on cars. I blew up my 20A feed through a long time ago on a very high voltage/low current gas ignition circuit and replaced it with this. I also have the Klein Tools for daily usage - volts, AC amps (clamp on), continuity and ohms. This one seems accurate at the DC amperage readings - but I cannot emphasize enough... READ THE MANUAL. It has a lot of neat features and functional tips I initially missed out on. I tend to toss the book aside and jump right into using a meter - put battery in and GO. DC amps was not working at all like the other meters I use for AC amps. You MUST press and hold “SEL” and set it to zero before using on the circuit. I find I have to do it relatively frequently during a particular session - not sure why, but it works fine if I remember it will begin to drift up and get “wonky” unless I reset to zero. It’s not a big deal for me because the price was reasonable and I’m not looking for super precision with DC car circuits... and I know I won’t blow it up because it’s a clamp on - but I still miss my old one for ease of use bench current measurements below 20A. But I paid a LOT more a LONG time ago for that one, too. I like this meter.

Features and Comparison
This is a great meter in terms of form and function. The exterior is very durable. The plastic parts seem very sturdy and there is a rubberized coating on the sides as well as on the dial. The dial and buttons are firm and feel like they are very good quality. I'm not an electrician, I flip houses for a living. I have an occasional need for a meter to test an HVAC capacitor, the continuity of a fuse, a faulty breaker or my car's alternator. I owned a Klein MM6000 about a year ago for a very short time. It seemed like a fine meter and worked well but I was hung up on owning a Fluke as they are known to be the best in the industry. I tend to gravitate toward the best of the best when I buy anything as there is so much crap out there. Since I didn't have much of a need for a meter at the time, I returned the MM6000 and started researching Fluke to determine which one I wanted to buy. Needless to say it has been a year and I just ended up with the Klein CL800. The main reason was price. I paid $120 on Amazon for this meter and it's features are equivalent to Fluke's that cost $300-$500. I would say the features contained in this meter are closest to what you would get with a Fluke 375 or 376 which are $329 and $468 respectively. Obviously the most important thing with a meter is that it is accurate. The specs on this meter, according to the data sheets, appear to be on par with many of the clamp meters from Fluke. This meter has so many great and convenient features. First of all it is TRMS. It tests AC/DC voltage to 1000V and AC/DC amps to 600A, and also handles millivolts. It tests continuity, capacitance, diodes, resistance, frequency and temperature. It has a setting for low impedance, it has a flash light, a back light, hold button, min/max, range, and a non-contact voltage tester. The non-contact voltage tester lights a red light when there is voltage present but there is no tone and it works from approximately 6 inches from a power source such as a light switch or outlet. Some of the things I specifically like about this meter are the fact that it has one setting for volts and one setting for amps and you use the select button to switch between AC and DC. This meter will also measure millivolts but there is no extra setting. You simply set it to measure volts and it will auto range appropriately. I also like the flashlight and the non-contact voltage tester. Most of the Flukes don't have either of these features. There is nothing about this meter that I don't like. I will mention a couple of things that changed from the previous models of the Klein clamp meters to the new ones. The previous models included an audible non-contact voltage tester, slots in the rear of the meter for lead storage, the previous models included a bar graph which this one does not, and the included leads are of lower quality and do not come with alligator clips included. These features would have been nice additions to this meter but are very minor in the scope of what this meter does. I would have to say this is a great meter for only $120.

Awesome multimeter!
One of the best multimeters I’ve ever used! Super easy to use! Backlight is a nice feature! I only wish a set of alligator leads came with it as well but not a deal breaker.

Great tool
It works great but the leads at the base come out a little and you have to push them back in. I was just in a 5 week RV training and used this all day every

Great meter
This meter is great. It does all that I need. I am an HVAC technician and need capacitance, continuity voltage both ac and dc. This unit fits the bill perfectly and does not break the bank. I have used Klein meters before and have two of them.

Accurate and reliable.
I've purchased two of these. The second one due to my GSD x Malinois using it for a chew toy. The DC current clamp-on feature has been very helpful when troubleshooting automotive and machine tool power problems. I've compared the accuracy to a 6-1/2 digit Fluke bench DMM and found it surprisingly accurate compared to other low cost hand-held DMMs. I'll probably never use most of the features packed into this DMM, so many features. For electricians the low impedance voltage measurement mode is a god send by eliminating ghost voltage readings. Yes, a higher contrast display would be nice. The thermocouple measurements are a few degrees off but not terrible. In an environment with very high electrical noise it may present nonsense readings. That said only once in several years of use trouble shooting CNC machines and switch-mode power supplies did I have to switch to a Fluke hand-held DMM. Highly recommended.

Great all-pupose meter at a reasonable price!
Excellent meter with many useful features. I will mostly be using for AC/DC Volts and Current readings but so many other great features. Would be nice if the included pouch had an inside pouch for the cables and accessories. Used this morning on some DC current and voltage readings and works very well, is compact enough to get into tighter spots and the backlight and work light is a nice feature. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a rugged, all-purpose tool for electrical applications. Tried the temperature feature which also seems to work well but an infrared temp probe with laser would be much easier. I will continue to use my temp gun for taking temp readings.

RECOMENDABLE
Recomendada 100 %

Well worth the money
Got the cl 110 and liked it that much I upgraded to the 800. Brilliant! The only niggke is it didn't come with the longer leads the cl 110 did but my long fluke leads fit in really well.
