BulkSupplements.com Zinc Citrate Powder - Zinc Supplements, Mineral Supplement, for Immune Support - Gluten Free, 100mg per Serving, 100g (3.5 oz) (Pack of 1)

Bulk Supplements is the way to go for me because: 1. There are no fillers 2. Items are not mixed. So I can pick a specific item for a specific cause 3. Packaging is good; delivery is on time 4. Bulk Supplements items are cheaper compared to other vendors 5. Most of the reviews for Bulk Supplement items are over 100. Reading these reviews gives a precise idea as to how effective the item is (though the effectiveness need not correlate with the purity of the item, rather the item's effectiveness in curing the ailment). I follow the below regimen, and plan on moving from other vendors to Bulk Supplements for Protein, Ginseng and Green tea which I currently source from another manufacturer. As an overarching review, I will have to say that Bulk Supplements products are of excellent purity. I had a few skirmishes with items such as 5HTP - wherein my stomach started rumbling, and I had nausea, but that is not because of this vendor. It is the nature of the supplement which I plan to permanently avoid. Purchased Supplements L-Arginine - Blood pressure, pulse regulation - will purchase from Bulk Supplements again 5-HTP - mood elevation - will not purchase this item from any vendor in the future. Zinc Citrate - avoid allergies, skin health - will purchase from Bulk Supplements again Magnesium - avoid social anxiety - will purchase from Bulk Supplements again L-Citruline DL Malate 2:1 - will purchase from Bulk Supplements again N Acetyl L Tyrosine - 100 - will purchase from Bulk Supplements again Milk Thistle - 500 - liver detox - will purchase from Bulk Supplements again Cinnamon Bark - blood sugar management - will purchase from Bulk Supplements again Sample Supplements Creatine Monohydrate Powder - body sculpting - I am contemplating if this supplement is really needed since it is not a permanent fix. My aging Husky started to develop skin problems that were suspected then diagnosed as zinc deficiency. While looking for and researching various zinc supplements for dogs, I found several products that were not only pricy, but reviews indicated that the products were not of consistent and reliable quality. I decided to see if I could find a zinc supplement intended for humans, mostly as a way of (hopefully) getting better product quality control, and that is when I found this beauty from Bulksupplements! The Zinc Citrate is an easily digestible zinc supplement in powder form. The thing to be very careful with is the dosage. If you use a teaspoon or just 'eyeball it', you are almost guaranteed to enter the toxic domain for a dog of 50 lbs or less. Based on my vet's dosage recommendations and reading I did on Husky and zinc supplements, I'm giving roughly 50mg twice per day. I say roughly because while I purchased a mg scale to verify my dosage, I use the "Norpro 3080 Mini Stainless Steel Measuring Spoons, Set includes ( tad, dash, pinch, smidgen and a drop )" from Amazon and found that the smallest scoop easily got me very close to 50mg. The dangerous levels for my dog are daily (and repeated) dosages above approximately 500mg and potentially fatal dosage is in the 1200mg range, if I understood things correctly, so using the 'drop' spoon that reliably gives me between 45 and 60mg per scoop feels pretty safe. At this rate, the bag 100gr bag should last me over two years, at a fraction of the cost of the Husky / dog zinc supplements that only last a month or two before I'd have to re-order! As far as my dog's skin problems; slowly but surely over the last month the skin symptoms have been diminishing and I expect continued slow and steady treatment will eventually cure that condition completely. (It's worth noting that zinc is not stored in the body, so it is important to administer it with every meal.)

This zinc citrate powder from Bulk Supplements is a great product and have been using this for years. It doesn't take much so use a scale or micro spoons to measure it out. As far as people having issues with the zipper on the bags, there is a single plastic strip on one side and a double plastic strip on the other. Take something like a toothpick or the tip of a sharp knife and stick it in between the double strip and run it along the length to clean it out. Takes a few seconds and works like a charm.

I want to start by saying yes this is an awesome product for those who hate taking zinc pills everyday but… The dosage to which they recommend (150mg) can cause severe symptoms of sickness from something called zinc poisoning. The proper dosage (15-40mg) that you need is less than a pinch of the very tips of your fingers and even then your probably taking to much. This is because it is highly concentrated zinc with no fillers; which leads me to a major issue I have with this product. They provide nothing for the buyer to dose out properly which can and has caused a large amount people to get majorly sick. Hence all the 1 star reviews which all complain about nausea, vomiting, etc. Check out symptoms of using excess zinc citrate they are identical. My final words are if your looking at purchasing this product I STRONGLY suggest getting a mg scale or some form of micro measuring spoons for proper dosaging. But make sure to do your own research for how much zinc you should be taking because it varys based on age, sex, and so on.

I was told, by a micro-biologist, that Zinc Citrate is the strongest zinc form you can get to protect against Covid-19. The only problem is you have to put it into gel capsules because putting it into a drink, as they suggest, upset my stomach. And, you should take it after you eat so it's absorbed. Overall, I feel it really did protect me from the flu and I'll keep ordering it every flu season. I like that the manufacturer ships it directly from the plant so you know it's potent. They actually ran out of it in March and made more of it. Look up how much is actually suggested you take and how to measure it.

BulkSupplements Zinc Citrate powder is an excellent quality product! It is very concentrated and it absorbs into the body very well. I have bought other products from BulkSupplements and they are always of the highest quality. All of their products are 100% pure and very powerful. I will definitely be buying more of this Zinc Citrate powder to take as a daily supplement. And I will be buying other supplements from this company as well because they are always a great price and the purity is certain.

This is a unique case. I've never had a product like this before, a powder, without a way to measure a serving. The company suggests getting a scale which is very expensive in this case to measure a serving. Can you imagine spending a lot of money to do that and then going to the bother of weighing the citrate on the scale each time you want to use it? It's absurd of course. The company does not include a serving spoon. I wrote and asked if I couldn't be told what fraction of an eighth of a teaspoon would suffice but got no reply. I made a mistake in buying this, and I recommend that you think carefully before doing the same. We should not fool around with zinc because it can cause trouble if we take too much.

Very satisfied with product. Came in a heavy zip loc bag. Arrived quickly. So happy there is a company that sells bulk supplements in pure, powdered form for those of us don't wan't fillers, excipients, capsules, etc. It's very hard to find. Product can be used for topical applications also, although most people use zinc oxide for this purpose. Zinc citrate is highly absorbable, more so than the gluconate form of zinc which many people are buying. It is also quite bland and tasteless, and much more palatable than other forms of zinc. This is an excellent product.
