Worked great

This motor was used to replace the motor in my Moultrie Pro Magnum. It is slightly taller than my original motor, but was not an issue. Feeder is like new again. Installation went as expected. I had to unsolder the old motor wires and solder the wires to the new one, but pretty straight forward. New mounting screws were a bit short for my application, but old screws were same thread, so I was able to reuse them. If this replacement lasts as long as the original, I'll be very happy.

Great replacement motor. Seems to be sturdy and looks and fits great. Assembly and installation aren’t hard but it does not come with wires already attached so we had to solder them on ourselves. Great motor for the value.

Good product. Replaced the motor that went bad on my Moultrie game feeder with this product. Moultrie didn't sell the individual motors, just the entire controller unit, at least for the model I have. I wasn't going to spend more than half the cost of a new feeder to simply replace a cheap motor. The motor is small, comes with 2 screws for the top mount, will spin either direction, and has a standard 1/8" shaft that fits most spinner plates. To install, make sure it spins in the correct direction if your spinner plate is directional by connecting the positive and negative (ground) wires to a battery and mark the correct motor terminals. Most directional spinner plates have blades that, if you can imagine, push wind away from the center as it rotates (as opposed to grabbing the wind and pulling it inward). I soldered the wires to the motor and mounted it to the housing with the 2 screws. Soldering is important since everything vibrates and will be exposed to at least some moisture over time. I added 6 inches of wire from the battery with standard crimp connectors and wire. My particular feeder used a slightly shorter motor with no extra room at bottom of motor housing, so I had to cut a hole for the motor at the bottom. As extra precaution, I dropped a small round plastic container into the hole to keep critters out. I could have also glued some screen or plastic onto the bottom. Replacement was easy despite modifying the original motor housing.

I have a sun slinger spreader mounted to the bottom of a hanging feeder and the motor went bad. I use the spreader hanging from a lamp post in the Walmart parking lot to sling M&M’s and Hershey kisses for the wildlife there. It keeps the wildlife in the area long enough to get some good pictures and provide some quality entertainment. I replaced the bad motor with this new motor, the new motor was a little longer than the old motor but it fit just fine and works very well. The new motor seems a little stronger than the old motor was even when it was new. I think I’m going to add a little bit of dimes and quarters and some pork rinds to see if that attracts and different wildlife or keeps the wildlife in the area for just a little bit longer. I’ve seen a few fights over the Hershey kisses, which was very entertaining, I’m hoping the coinage will cause a few more fights and provoke a greater sense of urgency while the wildlife is gathering.
