These are exceptional wood pellets for your grill or smoker. They cost somewhat more, but the quality is off the chart. Great pellet. Great flavor. Low ash. I’m not sure of the negative reviews. I guess no product can be 100% all of the time. Look, I’ve used many brands and many different woods to smoke. And these RecTec pellets outperform any pellets on the market. I’ve been using a pellet grill for 5 years, used thousands of pounds of different pellets and these are the best on the market. I’m not going to mention any other name brands but these are lower in ash, and lower in powder residue than any other pellet I’ve used. When i am cooking different foods and then have to turn up/down the temps, these pellets react fast and make it seamless. For example when finishing a brisket at 225, I can quickly turn to a higher heat to finish burgers, chicken breast, pork chops and the heat-up time is minimal. Also, these pellets allow the grill to come up to temp fast as well, nearly 30%-50% faster than other brands. I recently bought 80 pounds of a very large grill company brand and the time they took to heat up and also adapt to temperature change, I ended up removing those pellets and switching back to RecTec.

I own a large RecTeq smoker (dual rear hoppers capable of holding 40 lbs of pellets) and added on the side box. As such, it is a large area to fill with smoke and when I use it, I want to insure I am using a pellet that burns slow and does not become ash quickly as it is expensive to run. These pellets have been the best I have found after using Traeger and many other brands. The blend is nice and works on all foods from fish to ribs to brisket. Have purchased close to 10 replacement bags already and will continue to buy in the future. Can't go wrong with these pellets.

These pellets are the best so far for smokey flavor. I made a killer brisket last weekend and burgers. Oh man, best I've made so far. I've used traeger, bear mountain and a few others and these out perform them with smoke and very little fine dust. Regular granular type dust is what I see in my traeger ironwood 885.

So I have tried many different types of pellets from Amazon. I have a Camp Chef WoodWind and of course started with the Camp Chef pellets. They were good and didn't know any better but tried some other pellets searching for the difference in smokes. Tried Traeger pellets and they were good too but was on a quest. Tried a few knock off from amazon with no real success until I found these. After finding out about PID controllers and sad I paid a LOT for my WW and it was NOT PID, I found RecTec grills and though why not try their pellets. This was really night and day. I was so used to the other pellets going through the WW I had to check multiple times to make sure these pellets were not getting stuck. I found in the WoodWind grill these RecTec pellets had a better flavor, burned notably slower while putting out more flavorful smoke. I think they must have good quality control to maintain their moisture content and the wood that goes into their pellets. I personally, after a year of trying tons of different pellets, will buy nothing else. Their grill will also be the next one I buy.
