Can i take the back off as if it can stay off it can allow me to put it up to the wall as i have plugs were it is going

Not really . it comes flat packed and as soon as you begin to assemble you know that the back of the cupboard will make it structurally sound.this is because you would only have the sides for support as the door on the front is just hung on a runner. it is a lovely piece
