HUE HD Pro USB Document Camera/Visualizer for Teachers/Classroom, Blue

This is an easy setup. I use it for teletherapy via Zoom and have been very happy with the video quality. The neck is adjustable so it can be moved to a variety of positions (directly over the item, to the side, etc.). I was able to point it at an AAC device to model for a student and the focus worked well for them to see the AAC screen without my hand throwing off the focus.

It’s awesome!!! Made virtual and in person teaching easier for me. I can record video and push it to my virtual students a day before virtual class. In person I could teach from seat without going to the board all the time. It has great focus and shows up clear.

I purchased this when I found out I would be the online teacher at my elementary school. I needed a way to project a page from a book, or to model how to solve a problem on paper. This document camera did the job. It projected as soon as I plugged it into my MacBook while on Google Meets. One thing I did’t like is that the base faces you, meaning you have to wrap your hand around the base and gooseneck to write anything. Wish I could easily change the orientation of the camera. It can get annoying. Also, being a gooseneck, it took some time to project my paper straight. I had to twist slightly left or right, or up and down to get the perfect view. That took some time. Any slight move and it’s off centered again. Takes some time getting used to.

It is not the absolute highest quality camera but for the money it works great. I'm very happy with it.

This little document camera fits my needs perfectly. I can demonstrate with hands-on manipulatives when training teachers in math methods. I can model concepts for individual students. It is small but efficient.

I hope I can get it to work. Otherwise, I'll have to return it. It was quite pricey and not as easy to set up as I thought it would be. I tried to download software and then clicked on Hue link and it didn't detect my camera. Frustrated but trying to be patient. Hopefully it'll work out.

My daughter is doing a Zoom class and was required to have this camera specially. It has been fantastic. It is easy to use, works well and seems to be very well made. We did have an issue and I contacted Hue directly. They were amazing to deal with and sorted out our issue quickly and to my complete satisfaction. I would highly recommend the camera and the company based on our experience.
