would this work with tennis balls?

No. The balls it comes with are smaller than tennis balls. Additionally, this toy is reaaaaaally short. The handle does not adjust. It comes up to my knee and I'm 5'7. I thought it would shoot the balls a little further as well. It's kind of a cute toy but I was disappointed.

No. You just press the button and the balls come out and you can pick them back up from the bottom

I want to buy for a 2 yr old but want to be sure the balls are too big to fit in a 1 year olds mouth?

Balls are big & safe. The handle however is too short & hard to push pick up balls. I returned mine as my 2yr old got frustrated & didn't care for it.

Good toy but too much noise in the house

Giving 4 stars to the product because if giggling sound of the balls making so much noice in the house. Not easy to use on the carpet, but works well on the tile floor. Delivery was quicker then expected.

The product quality is good but its very small even for 1 and half year old baby, and its very hard for the baby to collect the balls with it and its pushes the ball very weak.
