For a the inner pastels I really liked the paper. I don't really have anything to compare it to.
This is the first time i've ever used pastels, and I really like the paper.

Nice texture, great for colored pencil work
I have been creating tiny pictures for a set of my own Oracle cards. Believe me, while the pictures are small and don't take much time, some papers have so much texture that there is no possible way to really get into any detail at all, even with very sharp pencils. This new paper is textured, but with a finer grain that suits my little project perfectly. The picture of salt is drawn on this new paper, while the phoenix is on another kind of paper with far greater texture. The detail is lost on the phoenix. I love these U.S. Art Supply 4 color Pastel sheets. The fact that it came in a pack of 2 tablets means it will last me a while, far beyond my current project. I am very happy with this paper and recommend it.
