Whats the difference betwen Zebra GC420d and this one?

The "d" stands for direct thermal transfer where the text/image is basically burned directly onto the label; "t" is for thermal transfer where the image is transfer to the label from a ribbon. The thermal transfer ribbon is an additional operating cost but can produce better looking and longer lasting print. These printers have a lot of different optional features that are indicated by the full part number. No, the printer is monochrome so it will only ever print in one color. That color can change if you load a color ribbon in the printer.

Will this work with custom label stock? Want to have labels printed with color logo and then use this to add bar code and SN etc.
