Great lessons for litle ones!
Purchased for my 3 year old. She loves books and absobs messages like a sponge so these types of books are great for teaching her key life lessons. We liked this book - content is easy to read, end to end story is long enough for a sit down, but not too long to loose attention. Key messages are great, only the illustrations let it down a little, hence 4 star. Overall, great book and would recommend :)

I love it.

Lovely Message & Illustrations
I loved the old fashioned 70's style illustrations & the message of the book. It gives you a visual opportunity to discuss race and disabilities with your child. I change some of the words as I read this to my daughter because it is written in a more American tone that sounds a bit strange in an English accent. A lovely book to start the conversation about race & treating people with kindness with young children.

A Colorful Book That Teaches Kids It’s OK to Be Different -Allure Wilson
This is a very colorful and thoughtful book. My daughter, Allure Wilson, liked how the story shows that everyone is different and that it’s okay to be yourself. She also enjoyed that some of the pages rhyme, which made the book fun and easier to follow. She recommends this book for children ages 5 and up. While reading, she did share some observations about the illustrations. She noticed certain features didn’t look the same or realistic and wondered how different people might feel about that. It led to a good conversation about how books for younger kids sometimes use simple or playful drawings to keep things engaging. Overall, the message of the book stood out the most that everyone is unique and should be accepted. That was her favorite part.
