How much should I use in a hot tub holding 1,500 gallons of water?

I used a handful of this for half a gallon water. I would roughly estimate it as 5 lbs per 50 gallons of water.Do the math for 1500 gallons.Ensure it is dissolved well in a small portion of water before you mix it to the larger container.
