Works like a charm!
Very gentle on hair but removes all or most of the artificial hair colour pigments.

Not a fan
I followed the instructions and even did research on it. It definitely lifted the color slightly without damaging it but it's barely noticeable. Won't bother buying again.

Salerm Color Reverse is a miracle!!!
I first want to thank all of you who have left reviews. You really helped me--and many others. Because of your largesse I have written a too-long but thorough review hoping to help someone else who was as desperate as I was after a home hair-coloring disaster! I have natural blonde hair, but it was looking a bit drab so I put on ColorSilk 04 light natural blonde. Then I thought that I might fry my hair, so I only left on about 15 minutes. BIG MISTAKE! My hair turned much darker, muddy looking, and pink and gold and copper in varying angles, and then it settled on a muddy gray copper with pink undertones. I was horrified. As so often happens in life we take for granted something until it's gone. I love my light blonde hair but never knew how TERRIBLE I would look without it. Even my husband of many years finally admitted (but only after Salerm Color Reverse fixed it) how bad it looked. I looked sallow and sick--and started to feel that way too. Every time I went by a mirror I winced. I kept my hair up in a clip and looked like a scourge--and I'm not exaggerating. To make matters worse I cut my hair before I ruined it with that box dye, which was my fault and not the product's (I'm an English professor--not a hair stylist, obviously) and looked like I fell into a fan with chopping blades. But none of my drawer-full of clip-in extensions would match even closely and most not at all. I was totally forlorn but trying to keep this in perspective by saying "It's only hair--not a life-threatening disease." Did that work? A little, but not for long. Luckily (sorry this sounds so oxymoronic) because of the wildfire smoke and my asthma, I couldn't leave the house for weeks. I went online and discovered the Head and Shoulders and crushed Vitamin C fix, but that made it worse and my hair seemed to get darker every day. I even bought Color Oops, but I would never use it since I was afraid of that rumored heinous smell and often noted hair damage. I'm not maligning that product since I didn't even try it. But after what I'd been through for the last three weeks with the Canadian wildfire smoke here in Western New York and my asthma, I couldn't risk having another horrid smell triggering more breathing problems. Then I saw Salerm Color Reverse and thought it was my best chance, again thanks to all the thorough reviews. And It worked PERFECTLY! I am extremely sensitive to smells, but this didn't bother me at all. I did notice it at first. But it wasn't in any way NOXIOUS or even obnoxious! I carefully did exactly as stated and slathered up my head (be careful--the mixed solution is pretty running and I would have ruined the antique Persian rug in my bathroom by my sink had I not put down two puppy pads first!). Then I put on a shower cap (I actually used an elastic bowl cover) and moved my hair dryer all around my head for twenty minutes (on medium). Then the Herculean task of trying to rinse my hair began. I have a large Jacuzzi tub with a handheld shower and didn't want to use another bathroom with a real shower--another big mistake. I basically sat in the mess for the next hour and a half, rinsing, and shampooing, and rinsing three more times. I did listen to the other reviewers and also checked with Google AI (very helpful for detailed questions) and had clarifying shampoo (inexpensive Suave brand which was excellent), a blue-toned shampoo, and a good protein conditioner on hand, which was extremely valuable to my overwhelming (thankfully) success. As I said, for once in my life I did exactly as instructed! No shortcuts, no thinking I knew better than the instructions. I don't know better and finally admitted it, and proceeded. Google AI stressed the importance of clarifying shampoo applied vigorously with a good scrub and thorough rinse. This is where the process became most challenging. I used way too much shampoo the first time and couldn't get it rinsed out with my worthless hand-held shower attachment. I finally turned around in the tub, getting stuck twice and I'm only 5'2" and 115 pounds. Then I lay down and ran the full force of the water over my head until I thought my neck would break. Finally I thought I had rinsed it well enough, but AI stressed that the total rinsing time MUST be at last 15 minutes and that the hair must be washed three or four times. I was terrified I would run out of hot water before this was over but didn't. By then my hair felt like a ball of compressed cellophane strips and I couldn't even get my fingers through it. Now at this point, and this the best advice I can offer, for the second and third shampooing DON'T USE MUCH shampoo! I only used a small dollop like a dime, and my hair lathered instantly into a huge sudsy blob that kept increasing in size. And then all of THAT lather had to all be rinsed out--and done two more times! But somehow I prevailed and my hair was finally thoroughly rinsed, albeit looking like the Gordian Knot from mythology. I never thought I would get it untangled. Then I broke down and shampooed one more time with a blue-toned shampoo (and left it on my hair for about five minutes) since AI said that Salerm would remove the hair color but could then expose lemon yellow hair from the lightening aspect of the box dye. I'm very happy I did this. After slathering in a really good and thick protein conditioner and working it through the tangled mess before ONE MORE rinse (this one easy), I was shocked to feel sleek untangled hair again! Then I emerged from the tub with a very sore, boney butt and wrinkled skin, and HOPED! But I could tell even with my hair still soaking wet that the Salerm had worked!! And it did!! My hair was silky and well nourished and almost shiny. Light blonde hair is notoriously almost never shining, but it was close! Salerm Color Reverse is the BEST hair product I have ever used! Oh, and I only used half of each bottle. I have a lot of hair, but it is so layered (albeit not well and by my own hand) that it didn't need the full bottles. Long, blunt cut hair certainly will. I strongly suggest you try Salerm FIRST--but scrub and rinse until you can't take it anymore and then do it again at least twice! You will be so happy you did!! I only wish I had a before picture to show you the horror that Salerm fixed for me. I am actually going out of the house now! Imagine that! Thank you, Salerm!

I can't believe how well it worked!!!!
I've never left an Amazon review before. I just HAVE to share my experience with this color reverse system. I have long, naturally light brown hair. Over the last 6 months I used demi permanent dye 3 times. I got the dye from Sally Beauty. The first two times I used dark blonde, and the last time I used light brown. My hair at this point was almost black. It literally drained the color from my face and eyes. I didn't want to bleach out what's left of my hair as I've lost about 50% of it from weight loss. So I decided to try this stuff. I am beyond thrilled with he outcome. I have my natural hair color back! Yes, it smelled kind of yukky but nothing that a fan in the bathroom couldn't handle. I only used half of each bottle, being careful to measure 1:1. I covered it with a shower cap and waited 20 minutes. Then I rinsed and rinsed and rinsed with warm water in my kitchen sink. The total rinsing took 30 minutes. I went for so long because rinsing is how the dye molecules get released from the hair. I had minimal hair loss from this process and no breakage. My hair is definitely a little more porous after, but that's just from the developer used with the original dye. I intend to put a VERY light toner on my hair in the next few days just to smooth the cuticle out again. I would DEFINITELY recommend this stuff for any girlies who want to get back to their natural color! I can't speak to how it handles really colorful dyes, permanent dyes, or hair that's b en dyed for a very long time. But since it's so gentle and affordable, it's worth a try!
