Maybe not the best value but for sure the best tool
When I received these in the mail I was really impressed by how well-built they were. Very heavy duty, thick cast jaws. Long handles to be able to apply a lot of clamping pressure. Definitely a nice tool, and made in the US. They surely cost a little bit more because they are made in this country… But you know that when you order them. I was willing to pay a little bit more because of that to get a quality tool and I was OK with it but I realize that the value for money is not quite there so I didn’t subtract one star. Midwest is the best.
All Midwest tools are slightly heavy, even the red handled siding snips, but they do the job well. I usually wear a toolbelt and then I have a Klein bucket to keep the heavier items near me. I've been buying Midwest for many years and will continue!

Waaaa!!!!! They're too heavy!!! Lol!
These are great tongs. I've had one set now for ten years at least. Just bought a new set because I'd misplaced the older set. I am now the proud owner of two of these sets. Simple and drop forged. These are not perfect hand seamers. There's no such thing. You learn the quirks of your tools and you work with what you got, and if you do it long enough these " heavy" tongs give you an incredible grip. Lol these are my favorite, they've helped me make a lot of money.
