I've been taking these for probably two years+. I was constantly waking up at night with feet or leg cramps. Getting older and drinking all that water in hopes that you won't get cramps, is not worth getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. I take six of the small tablets before bed and no cramps. I work in healthcare and there are several of my colleagues who have also been plagued with leg cramps and have found relief. If a leg cramp starts, you can take as needed and the relief happens quite quickly.

As long as you are well hydrated, this works very well. The loading dose is 5 tablets under the tongue, every 5 minutes for 5 doses. This is a total of 25 tablets over about 1/2 an hour. Then take 5 tablets daily to prevent cramps. If you do have cramps, you can take 5 tablets every 5 minutes up to 5 doses. If it hasn't worked by then, it is of going to wodk. Try drinking more water. I prefer Hylands brand over the many others.

What a lifesaver. My husband has a hiatal hernia, from which he's finally beginning to recover after many years. He's been on proton pump inhibitors for most of that time, and as his healing has improved, those PPI's began to have a horrible effect on him--he was horribly dizzy and shaky and bedridden for days. I suspected he was low on magnesium, but puzzled because he was taking supplements. I began to wonder if the supplements just weren't being absorbed because of his now low stomach acid. I tried magnesium liquid, but that just gave him diarrhea, further depleting his levels. I was surfing the web and came across this, discussed as a very absorbable form of magnesium, and decided to give it a shot. Well, it WORKED like a charm. I followed the advice on the bottle and gave him 4 pills every 15 minutes for a total of 8 doses. Within a couple of hours, his condition had dramatically improved. Within 24 hours, he's gone from being unable to get out of bed to running around the apartment working with tools. Incredible. I can't recommend this enough for people who need to rebuild their levels quickly without side effects.

I had never heard of this product until I did a search on Amazon for "menstrual cramp relief." This came up, and I decided to give it a try due to the good reviews. It arrived just in time for my needs, and I put it to the test right away at the first sign of cramps. My cramps are normally so painful that I take 800-1200mg of ibuprofen at a time and still don't get complete relief. I also have to take the ibuprofen every 4 hours like clock work or else the pain comes on pretty rapidly again. With these, I followed the directions and put 4 under my tongue. I was pleasantly surprised that they are almost tasteless. The instructions say that for very painful issues, you can continue taking 4 every 15 minutes for up to 8 doses. After 15 minutes, my cramps had lessened but were still there, so I took another dose before bed. Unlike most months, where I wake up in pain in the middle of the night, I was able to sleep through the night and only had very mild cramping when I woke up. I had the same positive results in the day time as I did at bedtime, and the only difference was that I did need to take a few extra doses (about 4 in the morning, and then another every couple hours) to experience complete relief. My boss was also experiencing cramps, so I gave her some and hers went away completely after one dose. I am amazed by this product so far! The one slight negative that I can think of is that it made me sweat a lot in my sleep. I woke up feeling hot and clammy. This is totally not a big deal though in comparison to the benefits! I highly recommend! Also, added bonus is no stomach upset from taking these, and I am someone who gets nauseous from just about everything!

It doesn’t have a flavor or taste. It is pasty though. Worth the money. The bottle is small. The picture makes it look like a good size bottle but it isn’t. And the pills are really small as well. They’re dissolvable. You place them under your tongue. They’re good if you’re like me and like to use more homeopathic medicines and natural ones as well. When I say small I mean like they’re the size of like a pea. But they work within 15-20 minutes.

I am a long time amazon shopper, and this is literally my first review. I just had to write it, hoping that it will help others who are struggling with very bad menstrual cramps. For more than 20 years I have been struggling with excruciating pain, to the point where I would start vomiting - not fun. I have been trying many different things all these years, and there had been some improvement, especially after I changed my diet to strictly organic and introduced some supplements such as iodine, chaste berry and MSM. Still, I couldn't get rid of the pain, just the intensity and frequency of it got a bit better. I decided to give these homeopathic pills a try and waited a couple of months to be sure that they truly work. All I can say is, Glory be to God, I have finally found my remedy! This is how they work for me: as soon as I feel the slightest discomfort, I put two pills under my tongue. If the pain is not completely gone in 10 minutes, I take two more. The very first time I remember I had to take them 3 times in a period of half an hour, but after that, the pain was GONE! Now it almost always works with just two pills as soon as I notice a discomfort. My pain "episodes" usually come about twice a day during the first 2-3 days of my period. So, I just repeat what I described above. The key is to take them as soon as you feel the pain starting to creep in, and not to allow it to grow out of control. In my case, within 10 min. all the discomfort is gone, and it doesn't return for 6-7 hours. I don't have any side effects, except complete pain relief! I am very happy that I have found this natural remedy.

Works within 15 minutes! I keep it in my night stand drawer and it works within minutes! I love it! Highly recommend!

I just received the product so I cannot say if it works or not yet BUT I was very disappointed to look at the label and see that it contains "Lactose N.F." I wish that was specified here on the Amazon page. I went to the Hyland's website and found this: Inactive ingredients - All of our tablet products contain "Lactose N.F." The `N.F.' stands for "National Formulary," indicating pharmaceutical grade lactose, which is milk sugar from cow's milk completely purified of milk proteins. Individuals with dairy allergies--specifically, with milk protein/casein allergies--can safely take the medicine without fear of reaction. The amount of lactose per tablet is well below the trigger point for most individuals with lactose intolerance to experience symptoms. For those of you that are curious (BUT IT SHOULD BE LISTED HERE) The label reads: FORMULA: Magnesia Phosphorica 6X HPUS in a base of Acacia Gum, Lactose N.F. DIRECTIONS: Adults & Children ages 6-12: 4 Tablets Children Ages 2-6: 2 Tablets. Dissolve under tongue 3 times a day. Use more frequently (every 15 minutes for up to 8 doses) with acute conditions. INDICATIONS: Relief of symptoms of muscular cramps and pains (particularly menstrual cramps) relieved by warmth. Also for stomach cramps, flatulence, headaches with darting pains and muscular twitching. I will try to remember to post an update when I have used them for a while, although I don't think I will repurchase this item due to the Lactose.
